Hey guys I wanna upgrade my alternator to a 3G one is this a simple plug n and play? Or some modification thanks

1) buy a 3g alternator
2) buy a 8ft. length of 4 gauge wire
3) buy a 175 amp fuse
4) disconnect negative on battery
5) remove old alternator
6) grind small section of alternator brackets for clearance
7) cut off connector with 2 black/orange wires and white/black wire
8) tape up the two black/orange wires theyre not used
9) crimp a spade connector on the white/black wire
10) connect white/black wire to stator terminal
11) plug in connector with green, yellow, and white wires
12) run 4 gauge wire (with 175A fuse) from starter solenoid to charge terminal on 3g alt.
13) connect negative terminal to battery
14) enjoy
