nope cant be done , you have to lift it a few inches to get the pan out , so might as well pull it all out to be comfortable working.

*edit* yes it can be done , but too much of a hassle if you ask me.

^^^ Not sure what he's talking about ^^^

but yes you can. i have.

it's a bitch and hard as hell to clean the oil pan because the oil pan won't come out. At least how high I had the engine.

Just placed some wooden blocks between the engine mounts and k member

i bent one of my half inch open end wrenches, to get to the oil pump bolts and the pick up tube, raise the motor as high as it will go, which aint far, i personally think the hardest part was the rEAR GASKET underneath the rear main, if you buy the gasket that is one piece put some gasket sealer on ther rear part of gasket, just incase, it can be done, but as per the other folks on here it is a bitch, unless you raise the motor out. good luck...

I would pull the motor. Does not take long to do at all.

Another way is to drop the K member. The engine needs to be supported from above leaving the entire bottom end exposed.
