I've been having some problems with my timing. i recently put in a cam and now there is no way to get my timing right. some say the cam is too big and others say there should be no problem with the timing. Another friend told me that i should put in a new more advanced computer and module or different distribuator. Does anyone have the correct answer? I would like to know ASAP before I buy things that i dont even need!
Thanks Juan [patriot]

when the timing is off...the car doesnt idle. it turns off. and if i fix the timing so the car CAN idle, then the car does not run strong. hope that gives u a little more information in order to help me.
Thanks
Juan

a timing light. if you want to continue without the proper tools, uninstall the dist, rotate it about 10 degrees and attempt to reinstall it, you should be about another tooth advanced

Do you just run out of room to to turn it and are you removing the spout connector while trying to set the timing?
