ATF fluid in t-5's remain the same and not needed to be changed. It can however be done though by one of the drain plugs on the transmission.

I would do it every clutch job or when needed as noticed. I believe 2 1/2 quarts should be fine.

I use synthetics, and I change these fluids during my scheduled "50,000 Mile" periodic maintenance. I figure the gear-train has no filter like an automatic does, therefore it,s cheap insurance. Besides, for a T-5's sycros to survive, I figure the sythetics will make them endure. Bimini Blue/P41e-n-117418/daily driver @ 255,365.4

One more thing: In accordance with Ford Publication FPS-12087-92/93 titled, "1992/1993 MUSTANG Do-It-Yourself Maintenance & Light Repair Manual", under "Maintenance Schedule A/B", there is no change for the T-5 tranny fluid. However the rear end must have a change @ every 100,000 miles unless service was done to it or if it was submerged in water. Do what you think is best. All I know is that my 5.0 stays out of the maintenance shop. Bimini Blue/P41e-n-117418/daily driver @ 255365.4
