Ive noticed a leak on the t-5 where the driveshaft yoke meets the tranny, i think the seal might be worn. is it easy to replace? and what is the name of the part so i can buy it?

Yes it is easy to replace...you'll want to pick up a tailshaft seal. The old one just prys out

I just took out the seal, looks fine but ripped the rubber lip on it so i need to replace it. is there any sealant I can use to prevent leaks when installing the new seal?

I typically just install it dry with a bit of oil on the rubber portion. If you want a little extra insurance place a thin layer of silicon around the metal portion. Don't forget to check the driveshaft yoke for ridges or anything that will wipe out the new seal. Also your tranny mount should be in good shape as well

i don't recommend using silicone

i just installed a new thicker seal with more rubber from vic hubbards, now i realized i have a motor oil leak from the tranny/motor joint. I hope its not the main engine seal, its a new motor
