hi everyone.. i really need help
my service engine light went on and i only have 19,000 miles on it
i installed a bassanni catted X pipe and cat back a few months ago and everything looks fine until today when the service engine light went on
ever since i installed the exsast everything was ok i havent driven the car in 2 or 3 weeks and when i drove it the llight went on

do u guys have any advice why the light's on??

do u think it has anything to do with the 02 sensors being dirty since i havent driven it in a while?

i really need help guys..i really appreciate it..goin through a lot of stress..

I have a code reader for my truck when shit like that happens. I dont know if mustangs have them though might want to look into that ..

Buy the mil elim's or just have the rear O2's shut off with a tune...of course I'd make sure what code it is first.

I believe in the bassani instructions, it says that its possible that you can get a SES light from the high-flo cats.

just get a predator and turn em off. [Smile]

you can try this to be sure as well, I'm not sure if its still good for our cars...

first off you need to get the code read and find out what code it is. if you get a cataylst low effiency code then yes, install mil elminators, but for all you know you could have left the gas cap loose and it threw a code for that (and it will)

i got a catted x pipe, not off road pipe..so it has the 02 sensors still... so theoretically speaking, there shouldn't be an error...

but yah, i did the diagnostic thing, the one on the speedometer... and i found out i got the error 5284: Oil Pressure Switch Failure...

what should i do next...?

so i just found out that 5284 is a bogus code...

so im pretty sure it still has to do w/ the 02 sensors ...or something w/ the exhaust..

i'll find someone who has a predator...

thanks!

ps. ANYONE here have a predator..?

Just for kicks, make sure that your gas cap is fully seated.
