What type of horsepower gains should I expect from long tubes and an O/R H pipe? Basic stock motor just CAI and flows.

prolly less power, and a loss of low end torque [patriot]

IMO you are better off getting a set of shorties and an x-pipe.

Long tubes aren't worth the hassle on a stock car.

Well, thats what i figured but i plan on building a motor this summer. I was just thinking of stuff i could buy now that i could still use. You think gears would be a better choice right now?

When i took them off my car for smog it felt like a whole different car. So far that has been the mod that i felt the most. i mean you can feel the difference.

depends on your power level.....Often I haven't seen crazy peak hp gains......above 275 hp it'll really help you across the power curve.

I dissagree .. I say get your self a quality set of longtubes with a removable collector and the hassel is not that bad..Bassani mid lengths are not a bad choice as well..
