well i got the summit brand radiator in my 5.0, it works great. i'v had the Griffin radiator in previous 5.0s and it to works great. both are under 200$. all aluminum, fully welded.

because it is leaking, and my car is heating up alot. i replaced the thermostat, and no change. so i figure i should get an aluminum radiator, and a flex-a-fan to keep it cool...am i wrong. if so what should i be looking for or changing?

You can get the radiator from Summit or the one I normally use is from fluidyne. As far as whats causing the overheating it should really be looked into before you start throwing parts at the car trying to figure it out as this can get expensive and can not always fix whats wrong. A good set up would be the radiator I mentioned above with a 180 stat, a hayden heavy duty fan clutch and an edelbrock water pump. A good cooling system flush along with red line water wetter or royal purple coolant additive

if your car is leaking coolant I would wager the waterpump needs replacing, not the radiator.

water pump maybe, but I'd also go back and agree with mike that the real problem should be found first, instead of just throwing new parts at it.

Do a thourough inspection of the engine, and surrounding parts where coolant could leak from. LOOK EVERYWHERE. When you find where you're loosing coolant from, start there. You may not need a radiator, thermostat, or anything major at all. Could be something as simple as tightening a hose clamp.

the stock cooling system sucks. i'd do it anyways, if money isn't a problem. but you should try your best to find the problem first. [Smile]

my car started leaking too, i have a 2000 gt. It's leaking on the passanger side on the radiator i think, me and my dad are going to try to fix it tomorrow. Any special things i need to look at.
