Well I made it to the dyno this week, and will be going to the track tonite. Just thought I would post my results from my dyno now, and let you guys guess what my track time will be.

306rwhp 335rwtq
This was done on a Mustang-dyno in Modesto, so the numbers are about 10% off of what a dyno-jet whould say.
Most people guessed my rwhp well from my last post(315rwhp-350rwhp)
Here is the combo for those of you that don't remember my last post.

347 10.6 to 1
AFR 185s
X303 by 93pony
EFI RPM
Shorties
x-pipe all the way out GT tailpipes
Art Carr AOD 3000 stall
3.73 gears
Car has a race weight of 3460
Stock pulley sytem with all acc. including somg pump(electric fan). And I will be running like this at the track.
I am using ET streets which I used at the dyno.
I am hoping for low 12's we will soon see.

thats it, my 306 made more power than that. also through an AUTO. [Confused]

Where at?
If I was to go somewhere with a dyno-jet I would have 330-340rwhp.
The track will tell the story tonite.
What does your car run?

off topic....

but uh, does your AOD shift from 1st to 2nd from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd into OD at about 40MPH? just wondering, because my AOD is messed up.

I hope you didn't retard your cam. AOD trans don't like that if anything I would of put it in how it is ground on a 107 ICL. Your real proof of how it will run will come at the track good luck.

The cam IS retarded. It's installed on a 112-113ICL.
That's where it'll make the most power with the combo IMO.

Well last night was fun and I would like to say thanks to my friends (Justin & Ed) for coming out and helping. The car went a best of 12.4 and 111.
I couldn't get it to hook, but this was my first time ever driving a 12 sec car, besides my L which is totally different. All in all a am very happy with my car, and am sure that I will see an 11 sec slip within the next few months.

Here are my three runs.
1.88 60 foot 88.071 8th and 12.543 at 111.132
1.88 60 foot 87.923 8th and 12.515 at 110.654
1.86 60 foot 87.975 8th and 12.455 at 110.454

I ran the car the same way I dynoed it full tank and full acc. smog pump and all.
My next time at the track I will have better suspension less weight, and a short belt.
Thanks again 93pony for your help. [patriot]

Good numbers!...I'd say your rwhp numbers were pretty close...If your car weights about 3200#s it right on par...

3500lbs race wieght.

very nice, your 60 foot times were realy consistant for not hooking. JMO rolling a X cam back on a engine that has a 3000 converter will actualy help your traction. It takes away from your low end torque. If a engine is under cammed retarding the cam is a great trick to bring out the big end at the track (MPH)works well on 5 speed cars. good luck on your 11's sounds like you are on your way.

I started with 15psi in the tires because I wasn't sure how it would drive down the track. The last pass was at 11psi and I think it hooked, but I backed out because it felt like I was going to spin. Next time out I will have better shocks(QA1's), and lighter rims up front. I am sure that the weight transfer will solve all my problems. [burnout]

Does your cars race weight of 3640 include the driver???

I'm gonna shoot for my first 12 second timeslip soon. I think my race weight is slightly more and I weight in at around 240.

Posted by Don (Member # 938) on :

You mean 3460??? Yes but it was more along the lines of 3500 at the track, because I had a full tank of gas.
My car is a T-Top with an auto so it is heavy.
I have lost 200lbs so far and am looking for more.
It started out at 3420lbs and is now at 3240 with out me.
