If you don't already have gears, installing them would probably be a good choice. [Smile]

I have much experience with 95's and I never saw anything good come out of timing changes and pullies. I highly suggest 373's, tbody and mass air. Other than that save your money for a blower or an h/c/i combo which I can give some pretty good combinations on 95's. Good luck!!

unless they are long tubes I wouldnt bother with headers on a stock headed motor. definetely the gears though.

with ur mods that you already have i would say u have 235 at the fly wheel tops...
pullies are supposed to add like 8 or so... timming will sqweeze a few more out..
gears aren't true horsepower.. but you'll notice that mod more than any others that have been listed...
i think stock rear 8.8's typically come with a 2:73 ( or 3:23).. so jumping to a 3:73 will be nice...especially in a 5 speed more than an auto..

he has 3.08's right now. I'd get some 4.10's and a short throw shifter. quick shifts and gears is what it's all about. Get those two mods and I guarantee you'd beat a car with headers TB and mass and pullies. Long tubes on a motor without a power adder is useless. unlike someone stated earlier I did notice .2 seconds and 1.5 MPH consistent gain in the quarter mile when I did my pullies as well. Last302 knows his shit about these cars, I know the small things like this. I can take you into the low 13's for very cheap, if you want faster than that talk to 93PONY and LAST302 about a combo. Also tires to hook up. And bump the timing a little, it can't hurt [patriot]

4:10's are nice fr the street but not that track... in my 5.0 on 235/60/15.. i was consitantly running out fo gear in 4th and trapping @ 98 mph everytime...( 13.9 - 14.4 @ 98mph everytime )

if u plan on going 4;10's use a taller tire.... they also make 3:90's for an 8.8...

what RPM are you shifting at. That sounds like the perfect gear for you, maybe you just need to get the rev limiter adjusted so you can squeeze out an extra MPH because with those times you should be just barely running out of MPH. This happened to me also back when I had my 95 basically running the same times as you and I had an AODE so I just turned off the OD and sometimes it would hit the rev limiter but usually it would give me that extra MPH. Where this guys car is at right now however, 4.10's would be a great addition [patriot]

4.10's would be a bit much unless your planning on some really sticky tires. with 3.73's 5000-5200 rpm (where youll probably want to trap at with stock heads/intake/cam) you'll be @ 100-105 mph. With 4.10's @ 5000-5200 youll be @ about 90-96 mph. You would have to hold it past your peak power band through the end of the 1/4.

btw, this is with 245/50/16 tires (25.6in)

I don't think the power band falls off much. I think he'll run wuicker with the 4.10's. There is a cut off point I think that's low 100's but I don't think he's close to that yet [patriot]

my stang was a 90 5,0 5speed..
i would shift at about 5,500.... in 4th i maxed out my rpms and couldn't go past 98 mph... a stock 5.0 doesnt even make good power after 5,000...

go 3:73's or 4:10's with a 28 inch tall tire...
