on my 93 it was nessecary as well as propely recovering the a/c and recharging it. I think a few people might have a few tricks, I just paid a buddy a couple hundred bucks to have it done right.

It is a royal pain in the ASS! You do have to remove the dash, but if you are careful you don't have to recover and disconnect the A/C lines. Be sure to put aside a whole day for this.

its not that hard to do.do you have A/C? if you dont it is a 15 min job max.if it is an A/C car then yes the dash will have to be dropped back a bit at the least.it isnt a fun job but I have done worse shit on cars that make that look fun

yeah, it sucks! but it was worth saving $400.00 if i had taken it to a shop [patriot] it also helps to drop the steering column.
