I've been looking into some different lower (and upper) control arms lately, and was wondering what you all are running, and/or suggest.

It's going to be for my 98 of course....Very little drag strip time, but enough to need some good traction. I'll be doing springs, struts, shocks, tires, etc, but have those parts picked out for the most part at this point.

I am planning on doing the same thing and made some calls around, but I am going for a more track set up. Sheldon at big boy racing quoted me at the following:
$180 for the lower control arms,
$65 for the upper
$65 ea Shock for Lakewood 50/50's
$95 ea for the front struts
He also recommended if you swap out the control arms, to re-enforce the torque boxes.

I am running the HPM ajustable uppers and mega bite lowers with the drag launch springs and tokico 5 way drags at all 4, I only have 50 miles on this setup but it seems to work well so far

Those ones Jeff S linked to look like a good bargan. Ive had the global west lwrs on mine for years and stock type uppers.My lwrs are TBF1s i think they are there better arms with sperical brg in front and a del-lum in the back. Very stout. I think my uppers were called the taxi arms and are identical to the factorys with a slightly stiffer rubber, held in place with two left over arp main studs I had both upper and lower tq boxes welded up years ago. Thats my mediocor street/ strip rear suspension. koni reds and colapsed c-springs. No noise or creaks back there and it rides good.

I dont guess there is. I think they might last longer but said to deflect less and not bind.. but where were tkg its not much of an issue. in the upper thats another story cause they articulate in a different arc and DO intensify the allready existing bind the piss pore fatory rear has. Just my opinion.

Glenn, I think you misunderstood the price on the Lakewood shocks. We get them for $35 dollars each, $65 is for the set.
As far as comparing poly urethane to delrin, there's no comparison, the delrin is 10 times stronger than urethane. The delrin will last a lifetime and can handle a lot of abuse (Road race/Drag race). I run our delrin bushing control arms in my Mustang and my best 60 ft. is 1.37 and average is low 1.40's. Delrin is a very strong and trick material.
