I haven't driven my car for about a week because of a huge gas smell. Suggested on the board was to check for a puddle of fuel on top of the intake by the injectors. Just now I went down and started the car up and let her idle for about 5 min. Low and behold puddle formed. Can anyone tell me percentage wise that its the injectors? Also anyone have some 19lb injectors they feel like parting with? What else could the problem be if any? Quick informative responsses are needed!!!

You can buy the injector o rings cheap and replace them if thats what it is leaking from

My car did that when I first got it. First I changed the o rings, then it still leaked, so I swapped the injectors. Id say try o rings first

Really you can get just the orings!!!?? where! Friend of mine needed one o ring for his 94 and couldn't find it so he had to buy one whole injector. Where can I get the o-rings by themsleves. If you happen to know the price range that would be GREAT too. Also this "DOES" sound like an injector problem,...Right???

I picked up the brown ones from alied auto in fremont. It's gonna take me a long time to get them put in as it just took me ALLLLLL day to replace my spark plugs and new header gaskets. Plus I have never done a bigger job on a car other than the basic tune up shit. So getting to my injectors is kind of intimidating me. Are there any gaskets I need to replace when taking off my intake are there any online detailed instructions on how to access/replace the injectors? Sorry for the long post.

You should pick up a chilton's manual for 5.O's.

You may need a new gasket that mates your upper and lower intake together. You'll need a swivle socket and 10" extention for the back intake bolts. If your valve cover gaskets are leaking, now is the time to replace them. If you find any cracked vacuum hoses, now is the time to replace them. You will also need a fuel line disconnect tool to take off the injector rails. Chiltons has all of this information for you.

You don't need to disconnect the fuel lines-plenty of play to work with.

All you have to do is remove the upper intake.You can usually reuse the gasket if it doesnt stick and tear.When taking the injectors out,just kinda wiggle them around while pulling up.The whole rails should come up.And the same when pulling the injectors out of the rails,just wiggle em.Put a little vaseline on the o rings when reinstalling the injectors,this makes em go in easier and ensures the o rings dont tear.

Well, since we're giving tech advice, you might need to remove your distributor to get the fuel rail up. I had to do that on mine for rail clearance - just make sure you mark the rotor position first!

Great. Thanks for all the tips! Can I get an estimated time if everything goes well. Possible to get it done in a day?

For me 1 day = 2to3 days
1hour = 4to5 hours
2hours = 7to8 hours

I'm always afraid to break shit so I go reaaaally slow, plus all the beer consumed during takes up plenty of time.
