hey guys i'm new here and just wanted to get some advise and see if you guys could help. i have a 2001 mustang gt and recently put a vortech sq supercharger w/after cooler and it runs great except when sometimes i take it out of gear when i'm going to stop at a stop light and then it starts to idle rough like it wants to turn off, it jumps up and down from about 1000 down to 400rpms and then after a few seconds it goes back to normal, but yesterday it did to me and then it turned off. at first i thought that it only did it when it was cold but after diving it for 20 miles it still did it. anyone have any idea why. would ground have anything to do with this, becuase the battery was transfered to the tunk. thanx.

have you gotten a tune for it? also check all the hoses on the SC and intake.

yeah the car was ready on friday and took it to apex on saturday for byron to tune it. i noticed this when we first started the car after installing the blower then i just thought it needed to get tuned but it still does that now

could be the IAC hose loose or a bad IAC valve.

what does the IAC hose connect too? sorry

it goes from the SC inlet hose (or the powerpipe) to the manifold or TB (not sure on your car).
You can test it if you have an ohmmeter.

oh ok thanks...yeah i'm going to take it back to the shop where i had it done at on thursday. do you think this would cause it to loose hp? or have to retune it again?

before you go back, check all the hoses. Have the shop check the resistance on the IAC valve. It could also be a problem with the tune...

ok well i'll make sure i do that. how would i know if i need to retune or not? probably go to apex and talk to them huh?

yeah, apex is probably the best place to go.
