My friend is going to be getting his new 331 dynoed wanted to see what you guys thought it would make.
heres his setup
FPS 331 stroker 10.2/1
Canfield heads ported by i think avenger.
BBK 1 5/8 long tubes
BBK shorty h
2 chambers
#30 injectors
adjustable fuel pressure regulator
aluminum driveshaft
t5 with mecloud clutch and billet flywheel with adjustable clutch quadrant
performer rpm intake
E303 regorund .536 intake .536 exhaust not sure the duration but i think its pretty close to the x303
The engine builder said it should make power till about 6500RPM

What kind of power do you think it will make? What kind of times to expect?

Why such low numbers?I thought it would make more than that.

330rwhp and 360rwtq...

It depends on the size valve's he has in the heads and how heavy is the porting is....

how much rwhp did u think?
and is the cam reground to his motor and car?
because to me thats where he is losing it even though the canfields are a nice touch they work best with a blower like set up
just my $0.02

You didnt say if it was an engine dyno, but I think most people assumed that is was a chassis dyno...

Yeah i was talking about a chasis dyno. The heads as far as i know have a port job and ungraded spings. The reason i thought it would make more is because there is people making around 400RWHP na wuth 331's/347's But they use alot more radicle of a cam. What do you think it would run in a full weight 95 gt with 3:90 gears and a good driver?

The restrictions in the setup IMO:
The 1 5/8th headers. I hope it's been ported...cause the openings on those headers are quite a bit smaller then the Canfield exhaust ports.
The cam. Although not bad...it would pick up from a wilder setup. I'd go large...since it won't pass smog anyway. [Smile]

1 3/4 longtubes & a nice little cam & it will put out close to 400RW....as long as everything was built right. [patriot]

why do you say that? other than the fact it's impossible to make more torque than hp past 5,200 rpm?
