What would the symptons be of a blown head gasket if its say blown out the back side of the head on the number 4 cylinder, and not through a water jacket?

Mike

I did everything to help the running rough situation and when i listen to the back of the head with a piece of pvc pipe you hear psst psst....psst psst. And it is NOT coming from the header.

Do a compression or leakdown test. That will tell you for sure.

Is there any water in the oil or vise versa?...I know you said NOT the water jacket, but if you do have water in your oil thats normally a sure sign....

You'll find out with the compression and leak down test...

Just buy a compression tester from Kragen or any other auto parts store. Theyre fairly cheap. Like 30 bucks.
