does anybody have 275/40/17 on there 17x9's on a fox body with out any problems?some says they need to take out the quads some says it will go on no problem.can someone clarify this.iam debating on 255 /40/17 or 275/40/17 only thing is 255 are to way lower profile than 275's

I have 96 cobra rims with 245/45/17 on front and 275/40/17 rear with no problems.Even have quad shock.

i have generic cobra r's with the 5.92 backspacing and 275, quad shock will fit
but the fender lips need to be rolled and the inner fender needs to be beat in a little with a mallet, just for me anyway

mine fit no problem. I reversed the quads. I didn't even roll my fenders. I even have lowering springs.

I have 275 40 17 Nitto Drags on the 93 Cobra lowered 1 inch. No rubbing problems whatsoever.

just to clarify, mine only rubbed under very hard conering or hitting a nasty bump while turning

when i first ran 275/40 on 17*9 it only rubbed when i hit a bump or when i was in a turn just role your fender lips you should be ok.
