If you guys had to put together a budget 306 shortblock, where would you buy all your internals? Obviously, I want all new parts, so please no junkyard suggestions.

Summit rebuild kit 2 somthin with hyper pistion and 496 with forged pistons inculed almost every thing u need

No, the block would be used. I meant to say new internals.

Speaking of needing a block, my 289 in my 65 fastback is slowly talking a shit on me after 83k miles, im looking to get a 302 or 347 w/low miles and i need to get it FAST, any suggestions guys? i need the input.

Back to the subject: I think I would call around to the local engine shops....Sometimes they can offer better prices than a retail store that just sells parts...

Otherwise, I would order through SUMMIT [patriot]
