is the gear break-in period 100 miles? I'm pretty sure they said don't drive over 55 and don't drive more that 15 miles without a 30 minute break for the first 100. Then change the oil at 500. Is this right?

alright thats good. i was driving like a grandma, the fastest i got it in the first 100 was 65 and that was only for a couple seconds, and i never went over 15 miles without the 30 minute break. but i got over 100 miles yesterday and no more driving like a grandma 4 me just making sure. thanks.

initial break in period is 100 miles. Do not romp on it or be hard on it till 500 and till you have changed your fluid!

sorry if this is a dumb question, but how come they don't recommend this for brand new cars? wouldnt it be the same idea? when I first got my car I did a few nice long burnouts, and took it to sears point and ran some 13's bone stock, all within the first 300 miles.
