I took off my fuel filter and i cant blow through it but i can blow through the new one. Should you be able to blow through a fuel filter?

My guess is that gasoline filled up the pores inside the filter and is preventing you from being able to blow through it. Try pouring water through your old filter and see what happens.

Hot water at that, you should be able to blow through the filter.
