The red electrical plug on the back side of the alternator is getting fried? What in the world would be causing that to happen?

there might be a short. bad alternator. or wire guage is too small(not likely the problem).

Its the 'thick' wire right? If so, its very common on pre 94 'stangs, but shouldn't be on yours. Regardless, you have to get it replaced. Chances are a poor connection caused it to heat up.

Thanks guys!!! Do you think the dealer will cover it under warranty even if I have the battery relocation kit??

Give it a shot...what size gauge wire did you use when u did your battery relocation?

dayum bro that is more than likely you problem there the wire is too long for the guage.
