hey i was curious if i were to cut my exhaust after the rear axle would it make my car louder, and what about performance a gain or a loss or no difference.

It will make it louder, but I don't think you'll like the sound. It will be more of a howl or hovering sound like a garbage truck. Get 2 chamber flowmasters and an off road H pipe if you want loud.

i would not say "better". Different. H is a deeper rumble and an X is more high pitched but still mean as hell.

Just get turn downs or do your exhaust like mine...Right after the muffler

You can also try cutouts....they sound wild...that is if you dont mind getting under the car to uncap them. -mudanoman
