What does it mean to have a car tubbed? What are the benifits and disadvantages? Thanks!

It is cutting out the inside of the wheel well and in some cases narrowing the rear end to fit bigger tires. This is just a small explanation. I'm sure someone else can go into more detail

To add on to what Yellow94GT said, tubbing a car means cutting the inner wheel well out and welding in sheetmetal "tubs(replacement wells that are wider)" most cases even require the suspension components to be moved inward to accomodate the wider/larger tires. Most of the time, the interior around the wheel wells is sacraficed for the added tire width/height.

Advantage: wider tires can be run.
Disadvantage: costly and did I mention cutting the interior up?
