I don't believe in "too much to list" so here we go...

General consensus from talking with many Mustang owners, enthusiasts, etc in person at car meets, threads online(including on here), and looking at the current Mustangs for sale both locally as well as all over the country I would consider selling this car for no less than $10k.

1993 Mustang 5.0 LX Coupe 5 Speed in good condition especially for just turning 21!. Weighs in at 2,975lbs with half a tank and has full interior, power everything, heater works etc

Everything you see below I installed myself. Dan Turbo50(before he disappeared) rebuilt my engine and helped with tons of questions. Sac County Kustoms fabricated my rear upper control arms and welded in my sub frame connectors & torque box reinforcement plates.

-Factory Options/Information:
-White with Blue Interior(in the process of switching to black), 5 Speed World Class Transmission(no grinds or pop outs very smooth shifting), Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Steering, Rear Window Defroster(works), Black Front Seats(driver side does not adjust seat angle), Cruise Control(not working, missing cable), Center Console Arm Rest(works), Drivers Foot Rest, Power Mirrors(work), 3 Way Dome Light(all 3 work), Premium Sound(all original and works), Lighted Vanity Mirrors(passenger side works driver side does not), Cigarette Lighter(works), Factory A/C(blows cold, has small leak on one hose), Heater(blows hot, defrost works well)

-Has Original Electronics Manual, Warranty Book, and Child Safety Seat Lock, one original set of keys and one set of aftermarket copies

-Ford Factory Tape Deck with "Premium" Sound Package 80 watts with Amp under passenger seat(everything works properly)

-Clean Title In Hand(in my name), Registered until May 2014, Insured, Passed SMOG(legitimately) 2-18-13. Will SMOG for buyer.

-Paint is in Good Shape except a little clear coat peeling on a rear quarter panels. Minimal Body Damage(few door dings, and other small dents, but nothing major).

-Good Shape Inside and Out, Car Runs Great Can Be Daily Driven, Great Oil Pressure

-Doesn't Leak Oil, Trans Fluid tiny leak from the shaft seal, Rear Axle Fluid no leaks, Or Gas, power steering has a small leak from front seal.

-Ash Tray Door Works, Both Door Handles work, All Interior Lighting Works(including glove box light, under ash tray light), In Trunk Light Works, Under Hood Light Works(was removed when cowl hood was installed, but still have factory hood and under hood light), Horn Works, Power Windows Work, Both Power Locks Work, Still has under hood pad(on factory hood), All in trunk liner still in tact, All gauges in dash cluster work(temp, gas, mph, odometer, trip odometer, tachometer, oil pressure, charge etc), Interior lights dimmer(rheostat) works great(very smooth), Trunk Release Button stopped working, E-Brake Works, Door and Trunk Seals in Good Shape, head liner in tact no rips/tears

I didn't think so either, lots of blood, sweat & beers in this Mustang. I love the new Mustang for sure, but since I have this Mustang, my SRT-4(also for sale), Bronco, 2011 5.0, Ninja, & boat I'm trying to thin the heard a bit, so I can pay less in registration, insurance etc.

I've had tons of low baller interest from my craigslist ad, but they want to pay a price that would easily allow a part out and profit type situation, there's no way I'll let that happen.

I'll only let this car go to the right buyer, someone who wants to keep it and finish it etc

I couldn't see letting it go for less. I already had an offer for $9,300 cash in person. I turned it down. If it doesn't sell I'm not concerned. I see lesser cars asking more all day. Initially I didn't post it here because of the low ballers, but they were in force on craigslist, so I figured might as well put it here too.

post in on corral.. you have a higher chance of selling it there.. CL & Cafords = lowballers..

I put it up on corral, it's generating some interest so far, but there are a couple of local guys that seem like it might become sold here, but if not I don't have any problem keeping it, or sitting on it until the right offer comes along. I might throw some trades out there to mix it up a bit.

People have always told me this, but when it comes to Coupes I've never had to come off my price. At this point that validates that I'm not asking too much. If someone offered that much within a couple days of posting the ad, someone else will pony up the rest at some point. If I wind up in a rough spot, or actually need the money and have to sell it for less in the future so be it, but for now I'm not in need of $

I've been looking all over(CL across the country, forums, ebay etc) for other Mustangs to see what they're asking, what mods, what type and year etc Based on that alone $10k is a fair asking price for someone who actually wants the car, vs. Someone who wants to part it out.

I will be making a trade list here pretty soon since there is a lot of stuff I'd be interested in other than just cash.

Stock t5 and stock rebuilt rear end carrier? Or did I skip that part.

That's correct. All stock World Class T5, & rear end carrier. Carrier was rebuilt by me with an oem setup clutch kit. This car is on the street with street tires 99.99% of the time, so any damage that would likely occur to these parts is averted by spinning the tires.

Most I have talked to say that the axles are likely the weakest point, then 3rd gear in my drivetrain. But who knows. Either way I don't beat on this car, so parts breakage is unlikely at best.

i agree with the above. You should of taken the 9300. Stock t5 and rebuilt rear is whats gonna make it hard for that car to go for 10gs. Not trying to be a dick just the reality of the way the market is on these foxbodys even if their notchbacks.

Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it. Like I've said if I can't get it sold for what I want then I simply won't sell it. I see no reason including what you mentioned above to sell it for less.

Over the years I've found you don't jump at your first offer close to what you're asking. Since I've already had that offer, I know more will come, & it allows me to keep the low ballers off. Some dude offered me $6,500 & just could not understand why I wouldn't sell it for that. He claims his friend just bought an LX thats just as clean with as many mods for that. [BS flag]

I was thinking about this, there's just way too much stuff on the car at this point, by the time I could take it all off and put on oem stuff it would be quite awhile. Plus having to find stuff like an OEM K Member wouldn't be much fun. It would all depend on how much I really wanted to take off I suppose. But back to stock I could see this car bring $4-5k no prob. It's clean, low owner, & just about everything works.

I did this on a IRS coupe I had a blower, tremec with and ended up getting more than I could ever sell the car on its own. It took a couple months but you don't really have to budge too much on smaller pieces vs having to take a big hit just to see some asshat probably do the same exact thing. Mustang buyers don't want cars that are all done, they want them cheap so they can build it themselves so when they see a built up car they know they can make more on the parts than to keep it.

I agree that I would easily get more by parting out, but that's a lot of time/energy just to dismantle my build of several years. Not only that, but then it gives me more opportunity to make excuses to keep the car. If I sell it as it is then once it's gone it's gone.

I think it's worth the 9300+ to 10k asking price.
even though it only has a T5 and stock rear...it has more important things like suspension, working A/c, working electronics, and all the other little bullshit items which make it that much nicer (like working ashtray door)....you dont see many that all of this plus a newer documented engine and OEM parts....the documentation also puts a higher dollar amount on it...

even though it only has a T5 and stock rear...it has more important things like suspension, working A/c, working electronics, and all the other little bullshit items which make it that much nicer (like working ashtray door)....you dont see many that all of this plus a newer documented engine and OEM parts....the documentation also puts a higher dollar amount on it...

Thank you, I appreciate that, and agree. Most people only replace what they absolutely have to. I replaced stuff that wasn't failing so that I wouldn't have to deal with it down the road, & would have the best running Fox I've ever owned. One of my buddies who's had many Fox's over the years said my car fully modded runs better than most he's seen with any level of mods. He was amazed that it hadn't been dyno tuned. No idle surge or hang up, no check engine lights etc

Craigslist DB's keep flagging my post because they can't possibly comprehend this sort of thing & think it's just another POS with a blower thrown on it.

Dude don't let none of these guys talk you down period! Unless you take 2k off for the blower, I wold say, makes it a lil cheaper, and you can get the 2k in a month or so

I was actually thinking about that. Then it wouldn't need a dyno tune

Believe me I would love to have some extra cash to throw a blower on my coyote, but just can't stomach letting my Fox go for any less.
Even if I do get $10k for it, how much will it be worth in 5 years? Fox's have already hit their bottom dollar, & the market for them seems to go up steadily. Especially Coupes. When I bought this car several years ago in nearly stock, good running condition I paid $1,800 for it. How much would it go for now nearly stock in good running condition? I see them going for $5k+ in the condition mine is in with everything working.

Back when I first brought it home:

Thanks, took quite awhile to put it together. Problem is most people that have questions ask them without looking through the ad. Most of the time I already have the answer to their question listed.

Yeah, everyone has their idea of what a Mustang should setup like, that's why I love these cars. You can make them anything you want.

Funny you say that about price, most low ballers can't understand why I won't sell it for $7,000 or less because their buddy just bought a better car for that or less [Roll Eyes]

Followed this for sale ad not as a buyer but because I thought you have a very nice car. I must say, adding those videos should help a lot. Great for sale ad, man. I know it really takes time to break it all down only to forget a few things later. Hopefully it finds a good home.

Thank you, I appreciate that. Lots of time, money, effort, & hard work in this car. Most of the serious people come from out of state. This being a rust free CA car makes it desirable just about anywhere.

The videos are helping a lot, but not in the way you might think. They have reduced the amount of emails drastically. Before the videos I was getting 10-30 emails a day, asking questions, mostly about stuff that was already covered in the ad itself. Most of which were likely from people who weren't actually interested in the car. I think it will help get the right buyer for sure. In the mean time it allows people to see exactly what they're looking at without having to come see it in person. Although there is no substitute for seeing it in person, & hearing it in person as well.

It would be really tempting to me if I were not mid way through a 1995 Cobra build with a 2005 GT waiting behind it.

And everyone knew I was getting serious about my car projects when I started liquidating gun stuff.

Sold off 2200 rounds poly wolf, 4k rounds 22lr, 2k Aussie F4 7.62nato. To buy my 95 I sold an S&W 25-2 and 28-2 that I never thought I would let go.

Kinda down to the end of my list other than a Rem 700P in 300winmag, badger/rings bases, and Leupold 6.5-20 mk4 mildot. Kinda leaving that as a last resort because I want to eventually rebuild it.

Sadly, cat stuff, even breaking shit, can be cheaper than gun shit. If I go shooting I just want to cry at the end because I know the ammo prices are 3-4 times what I bought in for. At least burning off a set of tires and a tank of gas leaves me feeling way better than going shooting and feeling I have nothing to show for it.

Ya, I know the feeling. The last time I bought a 550 round value pack from walmart of .22lr it was still under $10, when it went up to $14, I refused to buy, now I wish I would have because you can't find em and if you do they're $40-50. Just like .45 now value packs of 100 rounds are nearly $50! Most of the ones I have I bought for less than $15 just a few years ago. Yet another thank you that I owe to Obama.

I would still never sell off gun stuff to fund car stuff unless I had a warehouse full of it. I could sell of some firearms and buy a supercharger for my coyote instead of this Mustang, but in the current economy I think arms are more valuable.

Last time I bought 22lr was in bulk from cabelas before Zero got elected. 14ish per pack.

Sold each of the 8 packs for 50-100 bucks a pack. I shit you not I averaged 75 bucks a box. This was to coworkers and they didnt even flinch. 22lr at a cost per round MORE than what I paid for wolf Poly back in 2004.

To borrow a term from ARF, i neckbearded the shit out of my 22lr stash. Got down to about 1/2 of what I had of all major calibers to help fund car stuff. Got rid of some AR stuff as well during the height of the panic. Then came around full circle last fall and got in on black friday/cyber monday deals.

I used to shoot a ton and compete a bit in action rifle/3 Gun.Past 6 years I have mostly ignored it, it is sad. It is lime politically correct discrimination, look at antismoking laws and media. Same methods/patterns being applied to shooting/guns despite what research/sales trends show.

Good luck with the sale.

I sold on some of my firearms because shooting wasnt stress relieving anymore. I woke up one night with dreams of work and figured I had to do something differently.

Next day I started car shopping and about 2 weeks after I started I had my 95. Mustangs were my love before guns but Ca politics made me push car stuff to the side. Had to beat out and out plan Ca ban after Ca ban. 20 years later and I am finally back to cars.

Between the 95 Cobra R swap that recently sold and your car, I kni.da wish I waited on my 95 Cobra. Could have saved a ton of money.

Hope my 95 never ends up on chopping block. Just had a super nice drive up throug back mountain roads as i drove to coast for weekend.
