I have 86 prior police coupe..paint is 6 moths old ..black with white doors and white roof..stock 90 block with e cam..gt.40 iron heads 1.7 rollor rockers.new water pump.new cobra upper and lower intake...new timing chain ..new Ford motorsport vavle covers .motor has new head gaskets new oil pain gasket and new oil pump.new gaskets on whole motor...ac delete kit..new motor mounts ...stock t.5 tranny with hurst shifter..bbk off road x.pipe..with flowmasters..96cobra front and rear 5 lug..front has longer studs..rear end has arbun possi.with 3.55..seating on 2001 gt rims with good tires all around...I just payed.$732 for reg car will need smoge....saling car as a project sence inter.needs to be done ..brakes need to be bleed asks motor needs to be timed...asking for .$3500 firm I am losing a lot of money on it .but losing interest and don't have time to finish it..I can send pics..pls only people that are really interested and have cash don't waist my time or urs.....its getting harder and harder to find 86 prior police coupes...and yes it dose have the 140 speedo..I can send picks lmk...510-754-3031 Francisco

I talk to chp about my car befor I started to paint it..I even have the decals for it..there ganna go on it too.as long as the decals r cover when on the road am good..

Painting a vehicle to resemble a police vehicle would include the decals. Nothing about doors or colors is specified. A color scheme isn't lited anywhere.

Every authority having jurisdiction is able to paint their squad cars whatever color that jurisdiction wants. Be it black/white, black/silver black/blue etc. Just because you two-tone your car doesn't make you in violation of impersonating a cop or building a cop car.

If you're worried, put a silver pinstripe on the quarter panel, no police car ever had that.
