it will give you better gas mileage, youll just be slow as fuck....and in each gear a lot longer..

It will only give him better gas mileage, even marginally at that, if he had 3.08's stock. Most 90 5.0L came with 2.73's which is what he probably has and thus he wouldnt get better gas mileage.
