So it looks like everyone wants to do it again. However this time the boys @ SacFbodyz.com & some nor-cal ls1 want to do a joint cruise.

Tentatively we picked out Lake Berryessa for the next destination and the trip will be on a Sunday for less traffic. The trip some of us took in the area on the last cruise was real nice with some twisties. Same rules will apply as the last cruise. Keep it cool going up so we can all have a good time and get there in one piece. when the group thins out after we can hit the twisties and see who can really drive.

Looks Like its official now and were going to be having some BBQ'n going down at the park. Im going to see about gettin a list together for who will bring what so we can get a list of the food we will have on PG 5. For those groups setting up spots to meet at that sounds good. Go ahead and get those set up to meet up with us at the k mart location so we can all roll up

That's cool. I mainly wanted 2 call about parking & if there is an entrance fee. But if there are areas to house us then its not too pressing. Plus the deader it is the better for the cruise up and back

Quadking707: not sure if you will need to pack anything yet. If there are pits there and ppl wanna bbq then we can see about everyone bringn some meat, coals, etc. Only concern is if they don't have pits and someone tryna fin a grill in their fox haha.

Anyone know about the bbq situation there? I haven't actually been to the lake b4

I should be at the next with 2 other stangs and a maro. so where is it going to be at for sure. we could also check out clear lake, konocti harbor to be exact. They have a lot of things up there we could do. bar-b-q, park,plus boat rentals, wakeboarding.

Eastbay50, Bayarea82ford, Kingroy: the route hasnt been set in stone yet. still trying to decide if we want to come up using the 37 freeway and meet up with the bay area folks or slide up the 505. if we take 37 it will take us sac guys a little longer but allow everyone to meet up. if we take 505 its faster for us but we probably wont meet up with everyone until much closer to the park. so its being ironed out.

BigJerry: not too sure on the alchohol. i will get on the park site or ask around to check. however those twisties & alcohol prob wont be a good mix for those who want to make that run.

Stangless: If the bay area boys decide to set up a cruise im sure the sac area guys would be down. We were actually just talking about how most of the cruises end up in the bay. Would be nice to have the bay area members set up a cruise out our direction for a change. Some food for thought....

Fellas, I think a Berryessa cruise might be a little far for me given that the Bodega cruise was a trek and a half already from Oakland, but next time a big cruise is organized in the Bay (or close to it), I am there.

200 mile cruises are a once in a blue moon for me

Last time I checked, lake Berryessa wasn't anywhere near Sac, & neither is Bodega Bay, so I don't know what you bay cats are talkin about saying that these cruises aren't close enough for yall??? Bodega is A LOT closer to the bay than it is to Sac, & Berryessa is smack dab in the middle of the bay & Sac, so it is about even either direction, unless you live in the South bay I guess...

Most of the time, the Cafords events are out in the bay, & us Sac guys have to drive 1-2 hours just to get to the cruise starting point. Then at the end, when it only takes you guys a few minutes to get home, we are dragging our happy asses half way across the state to get back home to Sac...

For us Sac guys, it started in Sac, but for alot of the bay cats, it started @ Vic Hubbards for people in that area, & in Vallejo for the others. Then we all met up & the Hunter Hill rest stop...

Anyhow, you should try to make it to this 1, it should be fun...

i think a good meetin spot in vallejo would be at tha safeway parkin lot. its right off tha freeway on redwood an to get back on tha freeway all you gotta do is cross tha street, an if you needa get stuff to bbq might as well do it there. Anyone agree?

Berryessa is where we will keep it for this one. Should be fine. I hear what everyone is saying though and we can set up something again to clear lake or shasta. California has good weather.

Quadking707 just sent me some good info. Looks like some of the resorts are being redone but all of our day use lots will be open still. Looks like they have a large lot we can park @ also. I will check and see if they require a permit or anything.

Were still working on planning the route. I believe the lake is paralell to vallejo. Do you bay area fellas want to meet us closer to the lake or like @ the fairgrounds in vallejo?

if you sac guys come all tha way out to vallejo thad be a huge amount of gas for ya. why dont we jus meet over in Cordeila/Suisun. If we take Green Valley Road, it will lead us straight to Berryessa. We could all hook up at tha park&ride they have there

check out this map. what you think? leave from ikea, meet at the k mart parking lot on N texas, then take air base to the freeway and 12 up. i used google maps to check the parking lot at the K and its pretty big. The park and ride was a good idea but its way off the freeway.

T you can count me in for sure. I need to get my coolant taken care of. it hasn't gotten hot since. but then again i haven't driven it that far since i had the motor put in. Kmart sounds like a cool place to meet. its in the middle for everyone. Then the rest of the route looks cool. I loved the twisties last time too. Maybe i can get it tuned before this so i can see what it will really do.

If you're talking about the Park-n-Ride off of green valley then I dont think it will be big enough for the amount of cars that might possible come down.

But if you drive down the road about a block, the Safeway/Costco Parking lot would work perfect.

DAMN im just starting to get excited about this. Hope i get my new tires in time.

But it looks like we got 60+ cars already signed up to go and thats not including some of the sites this is getting posted up on. i lost a few peoples names when the site got sent back in time. Should be some bad chevys out there too

Everyone basically knows how to act on the cruise. Were gonna have a lot of cars so i want to get everyone there in one piece. So as long as we all keep our nuts in teh sack and nobody tries to freeload at the bbq we will be good. FREELOADING IS NOT THE BUSINESS!!! so bring something even if its a bottle of ketchup or some plates if your tryna eat. If your inviting people you know are habitual line steppers then put them on notice. Were gonna have a lot of members of the board that usually dont show face coming out this time around so it will be good to get everyone together before the summer ends. Lets make it a good one!!!!

Might be a good idea for someone to bring foil or a small metal pan. That way if we gotta heat up food or sautee onions on the grill we can. I'm gettn hungry as I type.....

Oh yeah give ur cars a once over today. Check ur fluids, hoses, tires and that b.s. you DO NOT wanna break down or overheat in the 2 lane mountains. Its quite possible it will be slow going up since we gonna have a long line of cars. Print the map 2 so nobody gets lost. We had a few get misplaced last time (luke96cobra)

Damn fellas I'm just gettn home. Still full. We had so much damn food. I know carajo won't be cooking meat for a month. Haha. And the chicks behind me in the fox on the way up were hanging in there. Not bad. I did almost hit 2 small deer and 2 bold ass squirrels.

But thanks to everyone that came out. Sac F it was good to have u fellas come chill with us. Appreciate all the food brought and my boys who kicked in some dough. We did kind of hit a cluster fuck @ that parking area but once we got settled in everything was good. Plenty food, good people and we had some shade........ wish the lake was higher though...........

Best thing is there was no tickets (I think), accidents or towed cars. Too bad for that chick that got her s-10 towed though. And even the park rangers we met were hella koo. The chick waved @ me on the way out though. She was diggn the hat .

My post is starting to ramble though. Thanks again.

To the bay where though? Crossing any toll bridge has historically been a clusterfuck on cruises. And there closing the bay bridge for a weekend @ some point. I wouldn't mind finding away 2 cruise across the golden gate if we had to spend cash on a toll.......... what if we headed south? We went to the coast & up north on the last two....

what about a track day or something. i always thought if they will come out to race we could get lots of folks. as long as the trips are not always in one area i'm down to ride. i dont want to always have to go to the bay and the bay cats dont always want to come here so we should just switch up. on another note epik/terrance we should do one at the folsom lake or gibson ranch. gibson has lots of parking all the way in the back and grills. the lake is not very full but should still be fun. keep me in the loop and i will do what i can do to help.

Q'n at a get together is a must wherever the next one is... like this past one. Everyone was kickin back having a good time for hrs.

Only thing i can complain about is too many ppl under one area lol and the cars parked away from site other than that it was cool (hint for the next GTG spot?).

Im down to meet you sac boys anytime before Sept.21 cuz thas when I take off to basic training. I wanna hook up 1 las time before I go, we should jus do a small g2g in sac, maybe a burger an late night cruise

Yeah I will make the next one, I messed up my back again on Saturday that's why I couldn't make it. I didn't want to drive 200 mile with back spasm's, no fun at all. it looks like I missed a good 1.

I'm getting in contact with the track and also gonna hit up the air base about letting us set something up. In all honesty I REALLY wanna set up a small road course event with some cones or a mini Gymkhana. If that is even possible I don't know but I'm looking into it.

But if u fellas know of good parks or whatever throw up a map so we can all take a look. Then we can plan accordingly. We might be able to setup a 2 part event where we all meet to bbq first then hit a spot like cassabian or an auto museum after.

Yeah I know its a long tpip for all the bay area guys,but us nor-cal guys have a good size group...

Hwy 50 to 89 around the north side of Tahoe is alot of fun and great views...

I'm down for another cruise but it needs to be much more organized. I had fun but was very irritated at the same time. When we had cruises in So. Cal we had on average almost 200 cars or more. We have cruised from LA to Santa Barbara and many other cruises from downtown LA to San Diego and from Orange County to LA. And nobody was left behind at anytime. A cruise is just that a cruise not a race. There is nothing like going through a town with everyone there and hearing the sounds and seeing peoples faces as you are coming through. This was a free for all! Hell if I knew it was a drag race when we got on the freeway and we didn't care if anyone was following us then hell I guess I should have turned the nitrous on and met you guys there. And it would be nice next time to get the cars together so we can see everyone's rides cause there were some decent cars there. Also I'm a +1 on we wear some sort of name tag so people know who we are, cause being new up here and to the site I didn't know anyone there.

Terrance thank you for putting the cruise on and again it was a good drive just wish I didn't have to do it by myself. If you need any tips or suggestions let me know.

I dunno man. U were behind me the entire way to the k mart. Once we left we didn't hit the freeway again. It was surface streets/backroads the rest of the way to the lake. The group that hit i-80 went the wrong way which is why I spent 20 minutes before we left explaining to everyone how 2 get there and to keep an eye on specific cars that knew the route. Also part of the reason I told everyone to print out the directions. Being that I was the lead car I can say to a certainty that we never went more than 5-10 mph above the speed limit so the group of 25-30 with me never got seperated. Did make a wrong turn once or twice

So yeah its too bad that group who jumped on the freeway got lost but I don't know who was leading them since they went the wrong way. Its just as much everyone elses responsibility to know where were going as it is mine. Parking there got confusing but but that's unavoidable given our size. Even still it worked out

But for sure we will do some group introductions so the newer cats can see who everybody is.
