I need to apologize to this CA-Fords.

I and the fellow organizers of the official "Gallop Around the Bay" or "the Gallop" as it has commonly been called canceled this years Gallop.

Several factors were used to reach this difficult decision.
1. My work schedule did not permit the time to work on the route, meeting spots or ending spot.
2. I was sorely disappointed the actions of some over enthusiastic mustang owners on the frontage road after the Dumbarton Bridge. For weeks after the 2007 Gallop I was hearing horror stories of the side showing and near misses that I did not witness.
3. I needed to go up to Oregon for Mother’s Day weekend. And the Gallop is always the Saturday before Mother’s Day.

The Gallop Around the Bay 2009 will be a go; but under a much changed format. We will be using the Gallop as a children’s charitable fund drive. Some of the ideas we’ve considered are:
1. By invitation
2. A minimum donation requirement
3. Sign in with name and licence plate numbers
4. CHP participation and escort

So, as for the apology. I’m sorry that I did not post it here. I did post on a few other sites but have not been as active on the web as in years past (new job responsibilities, moving households and changes in personal life). I also apologies that some people have taken it upon themselves to organize another Gallop with consent from me or other Gallop organizers and any confusion that they may have caused.

YUP that usually does happen at MOST gatherings in the PAST! People who need to Side show really dont belong in a cruise , Definatly not around my Family which shares the same Passion as me MUSTANGS.

My #1 reason for not attending Cruise's anymore.

I dont think the CHP would do this... but its a good thought to try and keep more order...? Maybe it would also cut down the marijuana Mustangs too.
