Hey, everyone!

Alright, since the Gallop(werd to yo mutha), I've heard many people talk and seen many posts as to how we should have another cruise in the near future. I've decided to spearhead a cruise/GTG to make sure that we have one before the big CaFords show in Aug. Well, here y'all go, try this on.

The date will be SUNDAY, JUNE 17TH. We will meet in DUBLIN, in the SAFEWAY PARKING LOT at TASSAJARA/DUBLIN Blvd'S AT 9AM. I know some of you are like "WTF-9am? [Confused] ". The reason I have it so early on a Sunday is that: 1.)Minimal traffic 2.)Johnny Law should not be out in force and 3.)It's the best time to roll through the scenic hills of the Altamont. I assure all of you that this cruise will be entertaining and worth getting your hungover a**'s out of the bed [Razz] . Here's the rest.

We leave the lot after chillin' for a few(about 930). We'll head down Tassajara towards San Ramon and turn off into the "hills" about 3-4 miles down. From there we'll take the backroads, very country, to the east side of Livermore where we'll meet up again in a Safeway lot on Vasco Rd. There's a Starbuck's and other food places right there for a *QUICK* coffee or munchie. From there we'll drive through the Altamont Pass via backroads NOT the freeway. We'll meet up again near Mountain House(205/580) and then head back via the freeway to the Dublin Hooters for lunch. This cruise will have long staightaways, killer twisties, and freeway cruising all in one trip. The hills are scenic and there will be minimal if any other cars or cops out there. The cruise will be about 40-50 miles total so make sure your tank has enough 100 octane(I will). As I said, there are twisties where we can have some really good fun, but PLEASE KNOW YOUR OWN AND YOUR CAR'S LIMITATIONS for obvious reasons [patriot] . We should be able to stay together without a problem so, as I said, this will be cool. I've taken my car several times on this route just for fun and have done it with small groups as well. I think you all will enjoy. Trust me.

Cya'll there. Let's get a roster of who plans to attend. It'd be cool if some of you Sac guys could make it...it'll be worth the drive down.

Oh, and BTW, this cruise is mainly for us FORD lovers, but ALL AMERICAN MUSCLE CARS are invited. So 'Vettes, 'Maros, F-birds, etc, bring your ride if ya want. I'm not gonna post this on their websites, so it'll have to be word of mouth for them. However, If ya got a bada** Porsche, Beemer, Ferrari, or someting of that nature, I suppose exceptions can be made [Wink] ...but rest assured anything with the words Vee or Tech or anything resembling that/those will be denied entry [patriot] . I'll post more as it gets closer...only about 3 weeks, peeps!

From Elk Grove you're lookin' at about a hour and some change...give or take. Take I-5 South to I-580 West exit Tassajara. If you're on the road by 7:30 you'll have no probs [burnout] .

I know those roads well. If you haven't gone driving in that area before, you should go. You will really enjoy the ride.
Just make sure you leave space between you and the guy in front-don't tailgate. You don't want to customize your front end and his back end should he stab the brakes

Hey, What's up, dude? Long time. [patriot] I hope you can bring the Viper out for the cruise, it's in our 'hood [burnout]

Yeah, you are absolutely correct. I hope everyone gets there pretty much on time so we can have a briefing on how to stay safe out there. This should be fun [Whoo Whooooo!]

If the viper is back from the paint shop I'll bring it out. I love those back roads. If not I might still roll out in the Lexus ( way at the back of course!)

Sup, guys?!

Here's a ittle info for the people planning on attending (and those who are on the fence).

I cruised the the route yesterday and it was FN sweet! It took 25 minutes to get from the meeting spot to the first stop. I saw about 3 cars during this leg, twisties and long straights to haul booty a bit. The second leg was EVEN BETTER...absolutely killer twisties and a great scenic drive. That leg took about 35-40 minutes. From the final meet/catch up spot, it took 20 minutes to get to Hooters in Dublin. It took just over a 1/4 tank of gas to go the whole route and a total 90 minutes. It will take a tad longer for the cruise, though, because I was by myself and haulin' a$$. Anyways, I hope we get a good turnout, this cruise will be perfect for all those peeps who said that the Gallop wasn't long enough. Cy'all there! [patriot]

Between Cafords and SVTPerformance, we're up to 24 cars confirmed and about 10-15 "maybes". I think as the day gets closer more people will jump in for the ride. I'm guessing anywhere between 30-50 cars ultimately.

Ok, guys! Let's start thinkin' about this weekend. This is gonna be a FUN cruise...guaranteed!

Just remember to gas up, make sure you've got decent tires, and arrive early so we can have a briefing about the route.

Lookin' forward to this! Bring cameras, there will be great pics opportunities all along the route.

Alright people, we are on final approach! Put your seatbelts on and your tray-tables in the upright and locked position...and be sure to keep you hands and feet in until the ride comes to a complete stop [Big Grin] .

So far it looks like we've got a pretty good turnout so far...I'd say 25+ cars(probably more once the stragglers file in)which will be perfect for the cruise. If this morning's weather is any indication of what we'll see Sunday, we're in great shape. For those of you that are definitly committed, I thank you in advance for your participation. You won't regret it, I'm getttin' antsy, I wanna hurry up and hit it!

Remember, we'll be ending it at Hooters in Dublin so bring some cash if you decide you wanna eat. Checklist:

1. you
2. car
3. 'nuff gas(about 1/4-1/2 tank)
4. decent tires
5. your nerve
6. driving gloves [Razz]

Cya in about 48 hrs [patriot]

Rick

Damn!!!! Looks like it was a pretty good turnout. Wish i couldve made it. I didnt want to bring it out on the twisties though because Im waiting to install my MM torque arm, subframes, & rear coilovers. After that the Mach should be able to take em almost as good as the IRS cars.

How many cars total showed up? It looks like it was mostly terminators by the pics.

What's up, guys?!

You guys are most welcome!!

I would like to thank all of you dudes(and gf's) who attended the cruise on making it a good one. I know it was quite a drive from home for some of you(I think I was the only "local"). Santa Rosa, Benicia, Antioch, Pittsburg, San Jose(south bay), Fairfield, and SF were all in the house. [patriot] ....oh, and Pleasanton(me).

I'm glad that you all liked the route, it's one of my personal favorites. Sorry about the bikers there, I have never seen packs like that out there. Thankfully, they only hindered us for only a brief moment.

Every car there was badass, even the Z [Wink] . Everybody was "well-behaved" when we needed to be and we got let our ponies run-a-plenty when we didn't. All's I know is that my car was pretty hot at the end there, LOTS of brake dust also, all signs of having a little speed involved [burnout] .

I hope we can do it again later this summer, I'll post some pics that Rachel took while we were driving.

Rick

You guys are most welcome!!

I would like to thank all of you dudes(and gf's) who attended the cruise on making it a good one. I know it was quite a drive from home for some of you(I think I was the only "local"). Santa Rosa, Benicia, Antioch, Pittsburg, San Jose(south bay), Fairfield, and SF were all in the house. [patriot] ....oh, and Pleasanton(me).

You forgot all about the 6 foot flame! [Razz]

It was total blast!!! To anyone that couldn't make it of didn't want to get up that early... it was VERY worth it! A Damned fun day!

I laughed when that old school camaro was just cruising and Rick revved at him and the guy just looked, and a few more of us revved at him too. I guess he didn't get that we wanted to hear his bowtie?

We'll do it again soon...at least one more time before the end of summer for sure. I'll give plenty of notice when it happens, should get an even better turnout next time is my guess.

Yep, get some subs(mmms's are good). Jessie had a "strut tower brace". I'm gonna get one also.

Dude, I'm a FN tard! I can't delete some of these to save my life. So HOW do I delete all of them? I deleted some, but it still says I have like 50 stored messages. [Confused]

Just click the box next to each message you want to delete...and then at the bottom delete them...but you have to make sure there is a check mark next to the messages you want deleted....

Yeah, we did Patterson Pass, it was cool. We were initially gonna come back Moountain House/Grant Line, but when I did recon on those roads, I saw several CHP's, so we just came back on the freeway from Mountain House Pkwy. It was fun all in all [patriot]
