Mustangs of all years at Califorina Fords are invited to attend:
Gallop Around the Bay II

Saturday May 13th

California Mustang Club will be hosting this years event.

We will be leaving approxiametly at 11:00-11:30
The start point for this year's Gallop is on Ferry Pt on Alameda N.A.S.
1722 Ferry Pt Alameda, CA 94501-7591 (for Map questing purposes)


I chose this place for three reasons:
1)It's a beutiful setting
2)It's realatively easy to get to the freeway
3)We'll go through a long tunnel to get to the freeway


From there we'll go north on 880 towards San Francisco
Through the toll plaza. I'm thinking if we all stay in the 2 or 3 right lanes (even if you have fast track) it'll be best.

Down 101 to the 1st Dumbarton Bridge exit
We'll stop on the Frontage road for about 15 minutes for every one to bunch back up.

Across the Dumbarton Bridge 3 across and as many deep as we can.
South on 880 to Auto Mall Parkway. We'll stop here for lunch for about an hour. The location will have many fast food eateries.

From there we'll take Mission Blvd through the canyon up to Sunol to meet back up to 680.

From there up 680 to Danville for our Final meeting spot: "The BlackHawk Auto Museum" Admission will only be $5 per person. They will set aside parking for our club and provide 4 tour guides.

Last years event was an amazing sight to see and be a part of.
I will be preselling t-shirt ( http://www.ca-mustangs.com/forums/sh...=9775#post9775 ) and will only be available at the Gallop.

If anyone has those little radio's it'll make travelling so much easier.

As I get updates on exit names and times I will keep everyone posted on the first thread.

Ca-Mustangs looks down hard on illegal side shows and hard core racing on any of our GTG's or cruises.
CA-Mustangs also requests that we all turn on your head lights drive at a safe speed.

you know in southern california, they take away ur car...and u never get it back...i wonder what would happen if that rule came up here...its safer to just go to the track and do ur business there...not to mention there is no safety out there on the open streets...what if something happens and you or someone get seriously hurt?...ok thats all i want to say so we'll stop here b/.c this thread is for "gallop around the Bay"...not opinions on street racing...but dont bring it...

Its the stupid stunts out on public that put people in harms way that ruin a good cruise or show, if you driving down the street with 20 other mustangs and one decides to lay rubber half way down the street and gets cought by a cop you think he will be the only one to get pulled over... yea most likely all 20,, so do us all a favor if you want to come out and enjoy a nice day please come out but if your going to be a dumb ass, save it for your X box.

We all know mustangs are a prime target and a group doesnt make it any better, don't ruin it for the rest of us, ater what happened to someone elses car on here farting around... cant we all learn from that and put a time and place with your actions.

If I recall, last year's cruise was very killer .

We stayed in line and AT THE RIGHT TIME...let our ponies stretch their respective legs a bit. I don't ever recall seeing one sideshow or anyone endangering the public. I don't think we'll have to worry about that with this crowd .

is that my old 65 cyclone, cause mine came with an auto and i put in the 4speed. it was red with black interior and a black vinal roof, what a nice car it was.

I actually am probably spending the night in or around alameda Friday night, too ensure that I am there first and get the banner up and such.

I am in Stockton. If my car is out of paint by then I will meet up with the "Sac Heads" and roll out. I do know one thing Ronnie I aint gettin directions from you. I'll be calling you but I want to get directions from your grandmother (you had me all over sac looking for that movie theatre.).

Any other shirt colors besides purple? I would ike a 3X in white or black or another color beside purple.

This is T-wash. I was doin a lil research and mapquest says its goin to take 1hr and 45 mins to get from sac to Ferry point to where everyone is meeting at. So i figure if the sac heads can meet up and leave by 9, we should be easily able to make the 11-11:30 departure time at Ferry point. We gota take the 50 freeway to get there, so how do you fellas feel about meeting up and leaving around 9 0r 9:15 at some exit off of 50(like the one in sunrise). then we can meet up with those guys in vallejo by marine world and just keep goin? im not sure if some of the mods are planning to organize us but im just tryna help out.

i'll be at the marine world stop from 9am to 10am we need to get on the road by 10am so we get to ferry point by 11am. i think you guys in sac need to start around 8am thank's mike.

My suggestion would be to leave just a little earlier. Traffic was thick through pinole at the mudslide on Sunday around 11:30.

I counted 73 Stangs...and we picked up a few on the road

Any of you guys see that, like, 84 Notch tryin' to be hard and sheeyat as we were leavin' Oak gettin' on the freeway?...all spinnin' 'em and doin' a little sideshow for us...lol. He almost hit 3 cars tryin' to get in line lol.

Seriously, AWESOME turnout...many nice Stangs, great to see alot of ya and to meet some new friends. My buddy, Rich, was very impressed with our cars and how cool everyone was .

Thanx Deryn for all of the hard work and planning. If I don't see ya before...cya next year and be cool 'til then

This is just a brief thank you until I work up the energy for a recap.

I want to thank each and every one of the 56 mustang owners that arrived in Alameda. This event would not have been such a success with out all of you. My wife took well over 200 pics and I haven't even looked at them.

Thank you to all, 'specially those that came from Visalia, Sacramento, Hanford & Los Angeles.
