I know this topic is way early, but booking rooms in Reno during Hot August Nights is nearly impossible. I was wondering who might be down to cruise up there for the last Friday-Sunday. When all the big cruising happens.

I tried to go last year, but no hotel would allow an 18 year old to get a room because of the casino. I think I will just go to the Goodguys show in Pleasanton.

I might be interested. You all do know that they will not let us cruise there. Only The old frts in there customs & classics. I am old enough to get room. But reservation have to be made a year in advance. This year might be diffrent, But i dout-it. Lets see who all is interested in the cruise up. The road there is a blast to drive.

Actually, during the day you are right, no in town cruising. But on the last Saturday night there was a huge cruise on virgina street at 11pm. all cars. I cruised my S10 then. It was kinda like a big sideshow. went from Silver Legacy, to A&W. then, they do some late night runs. Its big. But remember, if you haven't brought your car up there, high alt., doesn't go well with our cars. need to run real high octane. Jesse, we'll get you in. last year when I went it kinda sucked they didnt have and good cars really out and about, all the bad @$$ rods were chilling parked inside the hotel parking. On all the side streets it was a bunch of stock trucks with spoked 20's (wooo hoooo) even walking around wasnt that fun it was a little to ghetto for my liking. I'm cool with mofos getting all pissed cuz you were looking at their ride. Maybe if I was 21 I would go, cuz all my buddies with rods go every year but they like to sit in the casino for the most part. Maybe next year.

Last year was a blast, I went up there with my Ranger and we threw sparkes (dragging frame rails) everywhere.. I didn't get a room, but I'm one of those crazy people who would rather drive home to Sacramento at 4 am..
I'll be there for sure this year!

Just trying to remind people, you need to make hotel reservations soon. It's very hard to get a room for August.
