I was thinking of finally taking my fox to the track. Anyone else going?

As always I still gotta find someone to go with me, so it's dependent upon that.

Nice meeting you out there, sweet car. Did you get your license?

Yep, got my side done. Just need the papers to go off to NHRA now. Your car looked good. Nice runs.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Glad you got your licensing stuff nearly taken care of. I love that blue on your car, I should have had my buddy drive my Coyote (it's red) then we could have done a Red White & Blue Mustang photo from three generations of Mustangs
I really need to go to the track on a better day like test n tune when they actually prep the track, there's a lot left in both of my Mustangs with better 60' times.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I was on my A game. My reaction times were from one red light during the fun runs of -.0017 to a slowest of .0655. Room for improvement for sure, but better than all the guys that I beat. Their reaction times went from .23 to .9

Need to improve my 60' times big time. My best of the night was 1.99, but then got out of the groove & spun. I had the pressure all the way down to 12psi(tried 16 & gradually let down) varied burnouts from just barely seeing smoke, to a huge smoke cloud. As with my other my ET streets they liked the smaller burnouts. I have Lakewood 50/50's in back & 90/10's up front, tubular k member & a arms, sub frame connectors, all poly bushings, or heim joints, rear upper & lower control arms, no quad shocks, rebuilt trac loc etc. Disconnected my front sway bar etc, still wasn't hookin hard. Next time I'll try launching at a higher rpm but letting the clutch slip rather than 3,000-3,500rpm clutch dumps. The ET streets don't seem to like those at all in either of my cars. They're two different sets with nearly the same results. 26x10.5x16 on the coyote & 26x10.5-15 on the fox.

my shocks are set around 70 extension and 30 compression. I also know that I can not launch harder than 3400 at sacramento raceway, nor can I increase timing over 34 degrees. So you might take those into consideration.

Even on days with actual track prep, or just Wed nights? My timing was set super low for 100 octane. It was at 10* initial plus 1* per lb removed with the MSD btm. It should boost 7-8psi, so my total timing was likely under 20* total advance. My Wideband was reporting mid 13 air/fuel ratios, so I didn't want to push my luck. I pulled a couple plugs and they were all reddish brown, so I'm thinking my thermactor system might be malfunctioning under boost and pumping air through the heads

Drag radials and a manual trans arent great the best 60' I could cut on et streets was 1.8X. Get some bias ply I like hoosier QTPs DOT approved if you want to drive to the track but they dont last too long on the street. Still nice times tho

These the my ET street non radials, not the ET street drag radial. They have soft sides etc, I think these are my equivalent of hoosier qtp's. I wouldn't drive to the track on these or qtp's because it would cause them to wear really quickly,my hats why I always need someone to go with me, to bring tires, tools etc

Next time out Ill be bringing my own VHT, or just going to the track on test n tune when they prep the track, and getting higher octane fuel to turn the timing up more. Should run 11's without too much fuss
