It's that simple....as long as your car will pass tech.

especially make sure that battery is secure, that is the first thing the inspector looks at and pulls on when he pops the hood on a 5.0. if your battery hold down is gone or broken you can buy a replacement setup at kragen, autozone, napa, ect.. they frown upon bungee cord or chicken wire as a fix and wont let u race most of the time if thats what you've used!! From what I have seen at Sac in the last few trips I've made up there if you have a generally clean looking car they won't even pop your hood for tech. If you roll up in a shitbox I'm sure they'll be looking for anything that'll go wrong.

true story
very true.. just asked what time i was expecting to run and sent me on my way.. just make sure you have a helmet and pants on

Make sure batt is bolted down
Over flow bottle is in place
All lug nuts on rear tires
Pants shirt with at least short sleeves
Shoes no sandals
If batt is in back make sure you have cut off switch that works and batt box is vented
That's all I can think of and if you don't have a cage or helmet don't dial in nothing faster then a 14. Flat

Hahaha I know you don't have a shitbox. Maybe it was the days that I went but my buddy's cobra, the one drew ran 10's in, has yet to do anything but answer yes to whether he has a helmet or not.

Not hating, just being real. If you see a clean and well taken care of car roll up I think it's a lot easier to assume the car is set up correctly. You see a primered fox roll up, sounding like shit or looking like shit, they are more prone to check. They don't want some piece of crap falling apart on the track, just takes away from all the other drivers time.

never had an issue with my batt in the back, no cut off or vented either.

just listen to the track officials, and BE HONEST !!!!!

when you get there just tell them....

ive never been here before, or ive never raced before

just ask for the help and you'll get it

other than a few chevy doucebags, 90% of the dragstrip crowd are great people no matter what they drive

people will be interested in your car and talk, and you have a chance to see what REALLY works, so instead of wasting $500 on a MAF and and TB on a stock 5.0, you can buy gears or tires instead

there is a LOT of knowledge at the dragstrip, proven combos etc.
