Weighed the car today on my brother in laws scales with a 1/2 tank of gas. After looking at things I am most likely moving the battery to the right rear, and considering 12inch 150lb springs in the front with some strange adjustables. This is with me in the car.

You can easily take out 200-300lbs if you wanted to.

Seams heavy my t-top gt was a 100 less with an AOD. Did you switch to a auto?

I got my coupe down to 2750lbs with a stock K-member and a 10 point cage by removing everything I didn't need.

The battery move will help a bit. Have you had the car out since your last post concerning the 60' times? Will you have the car out in the near future at Sac? I would love to check it out and see what can be done to lose some weight without "gutting" the car.

Going out to Sonoma tonight, only change has been rear springs(still stock, but not as much cut of as the ones before). Next time I head to Sac I will shoot you a PM to see if you will be out there, I would appreciate the help.

What converter do you have? Your car is N/A so I hope it has a 9" or 8". Biggest problem with my coupe was the 10" converter.

Its a 9 inch Lupo converter.

Take everything and put it in a Coupe! My Coupe(5 speed T5) weighs in @ 2975lbs(without my 175lbs) full interior, all accessories. Heater core, a/c(still works), p/s, factory stereo(premium with amp), p/w, p/l, all smog equipment plus added weight of supercharger setup, and subframes.

Weight saved has come from D&D K Member, Granatelli Tubular A arms, QA1 coil over conversion(front), fiberglass cowl hood(tru fiber 3"), aluminum driveline(aerostar awd conversion), and aluminum heads.

I ran 12.9@107 with this setup on factory h/c/i with 3.27:1 gears, a very tired stock long block, and one legged rear axle(2.0 60' on 26.5x8" circle track slicks).

Dan(Turbo50) has recently built me a new long block with tfs tw 170 heads and f-cam that will be dropped in soon, so we'll see what times it puts down after I rebuild the rear axle. Hoping for mid/low 11's untuned, and cross my fingers 10.999999999999999999999999999999 tuned with 3.73's [Smile] daily driven smog legal
