Made it out for the first time yesterday with the heads n cam I did. Still on my stock clutch that doesn't cooperate most of the time, but surprisingly let me bang some gears yesterday. DA was also fairly high yesterday... Mods are:

-livernois stage 3 heads milled to 59cc (11.5:1)
-230/230 .60X .61X 111+2 EPS custom cam
-1 3/4" longtubes, OR-X, stock Ti cat back
-vararam intake and bridge
-tune
-315/30 Hoosier R6's (road race tires)

Everything else is stock. Launched it pretty easy at about 3k using the clutch a little bit.

Went 11.61 @ 124.8mph w/ 1.81 60'

Hopefully I can do better with my new clutch setup thats coming and some better tires so I can launch it a little harder.

Any car can be made fast. Some people just like to do it with their A/C on in the Califonia Summer!

People make those kind of comments all the time with exotics. "I'd rather spend $50k on a vette and put $300k into the motor." haha. Like they had $300k to begin with!

On a side note to Dustin's question. A Stage IV+ upper/lower 03/04 Cobra should be comfortable in 122-125 mph. Obviously, there's like 10,000,000,000 other variables but ya.

You can't. Mine is a street car. So it's has to have ac/heater. I'm just haven't ran as fast as i want before i slow it down. Every one getting butt hurt cause i said his car is slow. It runs mid 11's @ 124. That is slow. Every one seems to think i believe my car is fast, i don't any one that knows me, knows i talk shit all the time about it being slow. Besides it doesn't matter what i think of his vette, if he likes it that is what matters.

Made it out for the first time yesterday with the heads n cam I did. Still on my stock clutch that doesn't cooperate most of the time, but surprisingly let me bang some gears yesterday. DA was also fairly high yesterday... Mods are:

-livernois stage 3 heads milled to 59cc (11.5:1)
-230/230 .60X .61X 111+2 EPS custom cam
-1 3/4" longtubes, OR-X, stock Ti cat back
-vararam intake and bridge
-tune
-315/30 Hoosier R6's (road race tires)

Everything else is stock. Launched it pretty easy at about 3k using the clutch a little bit.

Went 11.61 @ 124.8mph w/ 1.81 60'

Hopefully I can do better with my new clutch setup thats coming and some better tires so I can launch it a little harder.

All my cars have been slow & will never be considered fast to "Warhorse Standards", but damn do they shine up nice.... 11's are fast IMO, but what do i know, I'm a Hip Hop DJ that thinks 6 speed pushrod powered Cadillacs are cool...

Truth be told, my car gets more attention from 50+ year old black dudes than it does women LOL...

With that being said I can't even talk about racing my Fox yet because it doesn't have a Trans in it, im no bench racer. BUT once the built 6 speed goes in I have no problem lining up my full weight, stick shifted, pump gas street car with Warhorse. Its all fun for me.

Oh yeah. LOL at anyone thinking im still on the stock block, stock ECU, and S-Trim ...

But Congrats Frick. You're car IS fast for a DD streetcar no doubt.

As far as a cobra trapping 124 it would have to be ported blower and a good driver. Hit me on the pm if you don't want to post your numbers here. I threw some Lt's on my cobra and picked up a little power so maybe we can line em up again just for fun. I won't be racing at the track but I'm down for some fun if we all cruise somewhere.

If you consider a vette a supercar, you think waaaay too high of it. Have you sat in a c5? Eeeewww. Name one supercar with plastic interior that sqeaks more than a cheap motel headboard. The corvette is the American Icon of Sportscars. Its is well balanced and produces enough power to make the lightweight chassis accelerate quickly, but, no supercar by anymeans at all.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a SUPERCAR, but I would rephrase Y2K 281's comment as the Vette being a sports car & the GT500 being a Muscle car.

Yes, many GT500's or Stangs in general can beat a Vette in a drag race, or can be made to go just as fast in a straight line as a Vette, but they definitely don't handle the same way without MAJOR suspension upgrades. They also aren't as aerodynamic & don't have as good of a weight distribution as a Vette.... Just stating facts...

I watched Mike Maier in his old school put it down on the couple of vettes out at the good guys auto cross event. Mustangs can do the the twisties thing too..... I'd say they are more know for that then drag racing honestly.
