Went to Infineon on Wednesday, took first place and a new personal best, 13.255 @ 102.91. No weight reduction, stock 235/55/17 Pirelli's, HP Tuners tune, Eibach lowering springs, Ford Racing mufflers. I'll be at Sacramento Raceway on wednesday, hope to see some of you guys there! I'd gone 13.204 with a tune on the stock 18" wheels/rubber. Added 4/10's, light weight wheels and D/R's and went 12.701

Last week there was really good air. Hidnn.o.s's time was with his other 06 which had a manual.

That is a good time for the auto. You can tell by the sound of the shifts that the tune did a lot for it. Those are quick, firm, shifts. It sounds really good going down the track.

Infineon is a quick track and you can get really good air there. They finally had the track prepped well again so traction was pretty good. You probably won't have a traction issue at your power level, so you will probably be okay at Sac. I hook better at Infineon, but there is always that head wind. I am curious to see how you do at Sac. Their clocks were screwed up before they had the Div 7 finals there and their mph read about 4mph too fast. They should be fixed now. Watch your speedo or tach when you cross the line and see if it is reading the same as at Infineon if your mph is higher but your ET is the same.

A properly set up auto IS quicker than a manual. However, I will always be rowing through the gears in my Stang. The new autos are VERY tough to beat. The stock auto in the Fox Bodies were horrible and most drivers with manuals could beat them. However, there still were a lot that drove their manuals like crap and couldn't. The new 6 speed autos with a higher stall speed converter and close ratio gears are quick. You really need to know how to drive the manual to beat the stock auto's nowadays. My wife's 02 Explorer 4.6L cut 2.05 60fts with its 5-speed auto and ran 15.3 @ only 86mph. Pretty good for over 5000lbs and rated at only 240hp. The AWD, low 1st gear, and high stall of the stock setup really helps it get off the line.

Seems like a Sacramento Raceway epidemic since 2007... Lot of people complained about this and lots of inexperienced folks have got some good sig material showing 2-4mph faster than they actually are lol...
