Lol, my buddy has a bug to. I dont get mad a rail car is fast with a weak ass motor in it to. Some of those bugs are pretty damn sick though.

Well it was far from an impressive night for me, Car ran a best of 12.2 with a 1.85 60ft at 111mph on motor in the dead heat. The rest of the night I continued to fuck up launch after launch while I am trying to learn these damn slicks. The car either dead hooks and then bogs big time, or spins hard. I should have just put the drag radials back on. I will be looking to get this suspension dialed in, and then taking another trip back .

Cool story bro. [burnout]

Sorry to hear Mike. Looks like you are about 3mph under what I would have expected at your power level. Looking forward to seeing the car in cooler weather. [patriot]

You are about 10mph under what i expected were the fuck is the nitrous? Why keep fuckin with it on motor? The bog would have been GONE if you would sprayed it out the gate!!

Sorry I didnt make it Mike.

Dan

lol Dan, hit the bottle once but the tires went up in smoke and had a 2.1 60ft so I let out. I gotta figure out these launches. These are brand new Mickey Thompson 3053s slicks, stiff sidewall for a stick car too. This thing should trap about 114-115 motor.

I bet its heavier than you think......

350 at the wheels and 3500 pounds race weight...be about 12.40s..........

I need to get it weighed but I think im around 3350 with me in it. I know with good air, and not bogging so bad off the launch I got an easy 2mph... Im going to do some suspension tuning, and possibly switch to an adjustable front and rear shock.

Do they still have the car scale chained off at sac raceway? That's irritating because I like to weigh my car when I go out, so I can do the racers math dyno since I'm too cheap to go to an actual dyno [Smile]

OK, let me get this straight,..its a 20yr old car with a mild 302/306 N/A..the hottest time of the year..with tires your not accustom to..and haven't been racing in years..??

Takes a hell of a lot more to impress you than me thats for sure.

Thanks Rhett, I guess when you look at it like that it makes me feel better!! Last time at the track I hit 12.1 with the performer intake on motor, and I swapped it out to a performer rpm this time. Made 20rwhp more with the swap. Car ran 11.3 on a 100 shot before. Wanna get this bad boy into the high 11s on motor and high 10s on the juice. Suspension tuning time!

What was ur 60ft last time?

And its not a 306 its. 302 nut it is 20yrs old lol

Posted by Camara90 (Member # 134) on :

Dan last time was a 1.68, so I know I got almost 4 tenths improvement on the big end there alone. I am going to go adjustable shocks and do some suspension tuning as well.

You get high 11s with a 1.6 60 foot .Mine is 1.66 60 foot and ran 12.070 at 111 mph but my car is 3740 race weight
