Well are 415ci SBC will not be done until mid Jan. So we are installing a 388ci SBC Brodix heads,630 lift roller cam,Lunati crank and rods. Engine makes about 625 hp N/A.Went 10.80s in a 3800lb Nova with driver.Going use this motor to work the bugs out.Will put the bottle to it also.We bought a set of headers from Dynatech while Lemons Headers is building a set for us because they didn't have any in stock. Found out dynatech headers don't fit with Brodix heads collector hits the floorboard and trans, They only fit stock heads.Should be testing mid Dec.

i gotta admit a chevy makes good power for cheap , and a lot of inetrchangeable parts . we was buildin a galaxy and the fe motors get expensive so we stuck a chevy big block and made headers and the pan. it fits better with more room and more power and will last longer.if you want ill post some pics.

1 A FE will bolt right in with factory mounts.
2 It will not last longer were did you come up with that.
3. FE can make big power if money is no object I will give you cheaper.

I thought Norm with his Turbo Ford was the fastest? The fastest fords have been removed from the list because cars were sold. So team solo is only there by default anyhow.

We are talking about current cars. If a car doesn't exist, or is owned by that member anymore then why would it be up there? We are living in the now! [Wink]

I can see 10 cars on there that are either not owned by members or are no longer around. And others, such as yourself, haven't done anything in years, yet still somehow are on the list. Damn, must be that default thing again

IMO it needs to get cleaned up and if the pass is over 2 years old or you know longer own or post here, it should be deleted!

now, not that a fe is weak by any means ,i just havent seen none last under the same abuse as a 454 that was evenly built.i got a fe in my own car and aint worryied bout it blowin at all, cause i do know how to build these to. but be honest with your self if you had a go cart with no motor, and only had a fe ,or a 454 with 5 grand in each motor, what would you put in your go cart?
with enough money, any thing is as tough as your wallet will let it. some people wallets must not be as big as yours. so some of us try to get the best bang for the buck.

you do know that mixing and match stock fe parts will net you 454ci right? and i think the fe line can handle it's own agasint any 454.. look at all the 427 side oilers.. or the 428cj's... not to mention the power the 427's made in the cobra's spinning 7k + rpm's... this is a no win thread... but what do i know.. i'm a true blue ford guy... i even use a sbf in my cars.. [Wink]

I ran a FE stroker 427 in my 69. it would run 10.s NA with shitty iron heads. With the good affordable aluminum heads they have today. It would have been much faster.

Saw this car getting some exhaust work done today (had to get the junkie muffler on my z28 changed out) and the thing sounds like a beast! Pretty damn clean as well! I wanna see how it runs!
