Next Week at Sacramento Raceway, there is going to be a match between Jeff S in his 2007 Z06 and Me in my 90 Coupe, and I think FOX GT is getting involved also in his Cobra. We had it planned for today but Jeff and I couldnt make it, so next week, hopefully is going to happen.

REMATCH, I think there is going to be an rematch between Jeff and I, we are still working on day maybe this Saturday.

I know I will lose to anything faster than 11.50s, as 93Pony says I take too long to shift, but I figure it would be a great race against Jeff S Z06 and I figured this would be a great way to get everybody to show up, like John Paul, Herman, Arvin, Teamsolo, Kevin Lock, and Sean04.

If 1.9X 60fts = 11.55 @126.8mph, you're gonna have a hard time catchin' that thing with a 1.7X 60ft.

Um dude...yes it was second...and I have video footage to prove it. And yes, it was the shifter that was the issue (shifter = the one shifting) [Wink]

We never tried to get the numbers on 91 Octane, Jeff and I were late for dinner that day so we in too much in a hurry to try it, I only run the car on 110 octane.

The Z06 had a K&N Aircharger Intake. It's best before the K&N was a 11.55 or 11.56. It was too hot yesterday.

lol it has been my experiance when a drag racer says it is stock there is usualy a list of stuff that isn't, and they say of yeah I forgot. or they are stock parts (out of something else). Great pic did they only run one time ?

93pony get some damm draglights for the front of your car. It is a sweet looking car would look better if the rims matched [Wink] . beside when you dump it into the 9's you want to look sharp LOL

My car has been 100% bone stock including stock tires until yesterday morning when I installed a K&N Aircharger in order to do a dyno evaluation of it. Unfortunelty Lee had to leave the track early to attend another event so that was the only race we did. I believe Lee is selling the coupe as I type this so it appears that a rematch will not be possible. [Frown]

Yeah, those skinnies look terrible, but I hate the damn shanked lug nuts that I have to use with the draglites.. Takes forever to swap wheels.
I think I'm gonna start running on DR's with stock wheels. That way I don't have to do shit at the track...just drive in & go. [Smile] Probably won't hit 9's like that, but I don't really want to get the chassis certified, add 4 points to the cage, a diaper on the engine & everything else that goes along with running legal sub 10's.

Blew the front tranny seal/pump seal on the last run (best run) & the car laid down up top...Might have had a 10.0 on that run. Gotta figure out where the boost is too...I was seeing less than 16psi, yet 1 week prior it was over 19... Always something with this hobby I swear!

I did straigten out the launch somewhat.

A while back I was at a GTG & had the hood popped. A GM guy/kid came up & looked under the hood, looked over the car & said "Nice car. Lemme guess, high 13's/low 14's at the track right?" I just laughed & said, yeah, that's about right.

If I can get the new M&H 275/50/17 DR's to fit (28" tall) in the wheel well, I'd hope the car would be good for 1.7x 60fts & 10.3's. With a little more boost & a better 60ft my ultimate goal is 9's on DR's & stock wheels. Drive it to the track, pull up in the staging lanes, run a high 9, & drive home with the A/C on. [Big Grin]
All in due time. With better (cooler) weather & a bit more fine-tuning....it should do it.

I am bought Twisted54's old car,94 GT Convertible, 331, HCI,and NOS, Sean04 drove it to a best of 11.00 at 122, so lets see what I do with it

I put on the K&N but took it off after a few days as it was causing a "lean bank 1 and 2" code which made my A/F at WOT in the low 10's! [Mad]

The most common mods are: filter, tune, and headers. Installing a cam will also add ~30-60rwhp depending on how aggressive you go. [Eek!]

tell ur friend to get a magic stick 4 cam, some long tubes, and a tune at synergy motorsports in hayward [patriot]

that should be good for like 10's or somethin

Thanks Jeff and sorry to get off track guys.

I'll pm ya instead but keep me posted on what ya got in store for mods.

My buddy already order a Corsa exhaust but i don't think he went w/ headers ........yet [Razz]

He wants to try and keep it as close to smog legal as possible.
