You know, I wrote Infineon about that, about 6 months ago and never got a response.
I'm wondering if even though the NHRA rules changed, if they won't keep the old rules at the track.
Throw a post on here when Infineon and Sac make it official. [burnout]

What does this consist of, a harness and helmet or just a DOT seatbelt: Beginning Jan. 1, 2005, a roll bar and an (----SFI 16.1 driver-restraint system----) will be mandatory on any vehicle running 11.49 or quicker and for convertibles running 13.49 or quicker.

I was under the impression that that was for the IHRA only but i guess it applies to the NHRA now.

Hope some day i can take advantage of that rule...

IHRA has always been 11.50 for a bar as far as I know.

read the rules more closley that is for the NHRA pure stock class.I does not apply to most cars.It will still be 11.99 and 13.99

actually any and all sanctioning bodies have to require and meet all NHRA rules per NHRA rulebook.

Incorrect. IHRA utilizes their own standards! [Wink]

This is correct. ANY car that is modified AT ALL is required to go by the old rules. 13.99 for my damn vert still requires a stupid roll bar.......

thats kewl if thats the case.problem is i dont know of many IHRA tracks around here so I am not 100% sure about it so you may be right.I was always told that all sanctioned deals have to obide by the NHRA "safety rules".

There isn't one damn IHRA track in California. IHRA is a participating member of SFI (as is NHRA) and SFI specs are referenced in the IHRA rulebook. The IHRA sanctioned facilities are:
