Despite slipping clutch problems I managed a new best(not buy much). I ran a 11.17 at 123. the 123 was a result of me hitting my factory rev limiter before the end when I was about Dead even with another mustang. I did get my best 1/8 mile MPH I hit 99.78. It was rolling on pretty good when it shut off, the car I raced ran through at 130 and he wasn't pulling me. A friend of mine in a 69 Cammaro with his new alch blower set up(he got from Doug Reed)ran 7.96 at over 170 on ET streets. [Eek!] After i figure out what to do with my clutch set up and buy some taller tires I will see you guy's in Sac.

That car is really bookin. What was the 60ft on you 11.17 pass and with what tires? That 1/8 mile MPH is awesome! Once you get a clutch that hooks and bring it to Sac that thing is REALLY going to fly. Make sure you let me know when you're coming down, I'll come out, (and leave the car in the garage [Wink] )

I had a 1.75 60 foot on my 26-10 ET streets. the 1/8 mile ET was 7.31. It was still spinning the tires in first and second making that tire shreading screch the mustangs seem to have when running ET streets. My spec cluth was new when I came down to Sac in the first part of the year for the all fords race. I expected it to last a little longer then it did [Confused] Thanks for the good words. I think I am going to go with the ET drag radials that are 27 inches tall. My et streets are pretty thin now. I am Going to try to hold out on comming to Sac until we can get a sub 1000 foot day LOL

Wow, GET THAT THING TO HOOK!!!

I would expect low 1.6's or high 1.5's at the very least from that monster [Eek!]

I know what weather your talking about for Sac. I'm trying to have my car ready for when those days come also [Big Grin]

Very nice.
FWIW, my spec stage 3 started slipping after about 5 or 6 passes. I think that clutch is junk.

what clutch assy did you go with? I need to do something?

I'm going to dry the Mcleod twin disk next. Actually the RAM clutch I had before the spec lasted almost a full year of going to the strip and daily driving.

Also, it was cheap.

I ran a Zoom Purple Setup in my stang and made at least 200 passes in that car AND before it was in my car it was in 93LX342's 86 before i got a holdof it.He isnt exactly nice to a car let alone a clutch [Big Grin]

Anyhow at the track I would leave at 5000 rpm on every pass wheels up with a 1.58 60ft on motor with that clutch.I went thru about 20 trannies but never looked twice at that clutch.May be something to look into.....
