Went for my first runs on slicks last night. I couldn't launch it real hard since I don't have my torque boxes welded. I launched at 3k and managed a best of 13.48 @ 101.7 (1.93 60') from a best of 13.69 @ 103.6 on street tires.

On a side note there was almost a real bad wreck. A dragster went for a run and aborted and pulled to the side past the timing lights and no one noticed he hadn't pulled off the track. So they went ahead and sent the next guy who was running 8's @ 160+!

ahhh,i have stock style suspension and my torque boxes aren't welded and last time out at the track i was using e.t drags at 15psi launching at 5800. so u can launch it harder but its amatter of time when shit starts to break [Big Grin]

my combo: edelbrock performer heads and intake, 65mm TB, shortys, high flow cats, 3.55s. I think the stock MAF is holding me back a little, along with my novice driving skills.

No crash, good thing for the dragster, cause it was an old school style with the driver in between the slicks.
