In a hardtop you would need a helmet and if you run slicks you will need a driveshaft safety loop.

Basic Requirements

All drivers must have a valid state driver's license.
All vehicles must pass a basic NHRA ET Bracket safety inspection. For a full listing of requirements, consult an NHRA Rulebook.
A single co-driver is permitted in vehicles running slower than 14.00 seconds. Co-drivers must be at least 16 years old and must sit in the front seat.
All drivers and co-drivers must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves (no tank tops).
SFI approved helmets are required for all vehicles running quicker than 14.00 seconds.
Motorcycle racers slower than 10.99 seconds are required to wear a heavy jacket, gloves, helmet with eye protection, and shoes covering the tops of the ankles. Significant additional requirements including full leathers are required for motorcycles quicker than 10.99 seconds.
Racers running and NHRA ET number and winning 3 or more times (not including motorcycles) must run Street Pro

I think the basic rules should cover you just fine.

I've never had any problems there as they don't seem to be too picky.

I was there less than a month ago and they didn't even look at my helmet...

I used a snell 95 three weeks ago, they said nothing about it.

About the slicks, does the drive shaft loop rule apply to DOT approved tire (et streets, QTPs)?

There's a guy selling brand new snell 95 helmets for $50 on Craigslist
