Congrats Mark! your car is moving now. And it sounds great! Lets not forget the equally impressive times 91pony's car layed down 12.0 [Eek!]

I thought that was 93Pony's car? [Wink]

12.0 @ 111 MPH...wtf?...lol

Definately a good day at the track!
Congrats Bud!

Here's a few times in Heather's car:
1.649 12.205@111.859
1.682 12.183@111.957
& Drew's run:
1.659 12.086@111.830

I'm thinking she's a shortbelt & skinnies away from an 11 second run on a day like today.

> Definately a good day at the track!

For those wearing drag tires, anyway. Traction was very hard to come by if you were on street tires (like me). The cold air was great for power, but the cold, shredding track was misery for putting it to the ground. I had wheelspin in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for most of the day. It finally got decent ~2PM and I was able to string together a couple of 12.1 @ 120 passes.

Shaun - we certainly had a good run [Smile] I was pretty sure you had me beat, but then the SRT hooked up in 3rd and I was [barely] able to reel you in. Congrats on the later passes!

Awesome job Mark!!! Very good job and way to go by backing it up! Shaun/Heather that car is moving!!! Your right man skinnies and a short belt and that thing is an 11 second car. Makes me want to have my car running!!!

congrats again mark...that's one more notch down...11's on there way? I thought you would get at least a 12.9 out there, but 12.8 blew me away. I was surprised to run a 13.3 in mine on friggin street tires. I guess that goes to show you how much better BFG all weather tires are than Goodyear!

awesome times Mark, don't you just love this weather? [Big Grin]

Yes 11s are on the way just need to hook the jug back up [Smile] I still can't belive the car went 12.5 that's just crazy for a bolt-on GT, race weight for drew was 3350 and for me it was 3480 or so.

Great times. It's really good to hear about a 2V N/A modular going 12s locally. I'm curious, because I'm hoping to take a stab at doing it this spring. Exactly what modifications have you done to the car? Specifically, I'm interested in whether or not you've beefed up your rear end & chassis to run on the E/T Streets, if you're on factory control arms (probably not, but maybe, etc...)

Thanks,

Thanks,

The only thing I've done to the rear is put gears in it and some lower control arms. I have a spec II clutch and just about every bolt-on and LTs.

Shieeeeeet. 12.4's and he is the "bolt on king"? Heh, your car had a pretty damn good chance of going 12.4xx last time out Mark. ET Drags and yank that dirty ass air filter and maybe even fast than that [Eek!]
