I have some friends interested in making the drive to Sac from SoCal because the tracks down there aren't the best. When would be the best month for them to get good times at Sac? What days are prepped the best? And what day would they be able to get more than a few good runs in?

I'd like them to have the best experience possible since they will be driving a long way for hopefully some good times.

usally the best track prep is after a top fuel/funny car races cause they actaully prep the track for them.i like to go then.not sure on when they could get some "good"runs in.

Any Test and Tune session will be good- especially when they run an all day TnT followed by an evening one. The do LOTS of prep for these.

All day TNT's are the first and third fridays of each month. This will not continue through the winter however, if memory serves me correctly. At the end of summer TNT's will move back to being a Saturday even for the winter. Track prep is good on any TNT.

As far as what is the best month, Jan? Feb? March? Any will work, with the nice cool air, but figuring a time to come up when it wont be raining is the tricky part.

50' track, high pressure, and yeah it's probably coming up from the 30's overnight.

The track might not have as much bite as you like, but if the sun is out on the asphalt, it can produce some darn good mph!

Any all day TNT is a good one to come to. They are $100 from noon till ten, and you could easily get 30-40 runs in if you really wanted to. It's a little expensive, but the track is prepped the best in the morning, and you can get all the runs you want. In the winter we switch to Saturdays, and we continue the all day TNT's through the winter, weather permitting.

On the $100 TnT days they put more VHT down as the day goes on? I think I remembered you say that before.
