My uncle told me about this site so I decided to make a profile. So the project I am working on is a 1965 mg midget and I’m doing all ford running gear besides motor and trans. What I am on here for is I’m looking and seeing what is available at times when I have the money to spend on parts. What I’m looking for is a mustang 2 front clip a-arms anything stock suspension (i will upgrade later just need mock up non bent) ford 9” rear end ( I know they are somewhat hard to come by) but worth a shot. I am doing a 327 with t5 trans if anyone was curious. If anyone could steer me in the direction of parts that would be great.

A Midget with a V8 is going to be terrifying. AWESOME!

9" rear ends are awesome, no doubt, but in your application, way overkill. You can accomplish the same result at a lot lower cost if you go with an 8.8 out of a '86-'04 Mustang. 8.8's are crazy strong, way more plentiful and a lot more affordable.

Listen to wilit the Mustang Messiah. Use a Ford 8.8" rear end. You don't want a 9".

People have posted build progress threads. It will be good to see your car progress from start to finish.

+1
Plus 8.8 is obviously lighter vs 9

68dustin-------It's not this forum. The whole car hobby is in a lull. This forum has daily activity. Other car forums I visit are completely dead or died long ago. Makes me happy to see guys like Midgetmustang85 enthusiastically wrenching on ambitious projects. The hobby needs more guys like him.

The forum death really sucks, it's hard to find any good (new) info out there. Still can search old forums but you won't get any feed back. I'm still steady wrenching... but my days of restoring old cars have slowed way down. Now i just wanna boat, camp, ride my side by side and camp lol.
