Seems like this place has turned from cars to politics and well I'm tired of hearing about the chump in charge.

I currently have my hatches top end pulled off my car because I'm swapping out my lifters(had two collapsed ones). Just changed my radiator(3 row SVE), water pump, and thermostat on my drop. I bought a little blu tooth JBL speaker for $28 on eBay and it's been coming in handy taking care of the tunes. Gotta keep those foxes on the road!

My car is currently at the paint shop (since December ) for a complete color change. So far it’s stripped to bare metal and everything is getting aligned. Once I get it back I’ll be rebuilding my rearend will 3.73s, installing my Maximum Motorsports torque arm and pan hard bar.

How do you like street driving with a locker? I'm running cobra brakes on my '86 too but I kinda wish I would've just went with rear GT brakes because I can't fit 15" drag wheels out back. Motor setup sounds like its a good little combo that'll murder gas. lol

What color are you going with? 3.73's are my favorite gear so far, good all around gear IMO.

Why not go 408 now since you're taking it apart or is apart? Ok I was wondering how that was going to work out with having a locker rear on a DD. I've never driven one but I've heard about them. Yeah get those matched up, I had to do the same with my intake now I'm just trying to find the right lower intake gaskets that'll allow bigger ports.

Trying to smog my GT lololol.. california.....

Posted by Martinna (Member # 12493) on :

The secret to passing smog is reduced timing. Your other post said you had excessive timing advance. This measurably increase your NOx and hydrocarbon output. 7-13 degrees base timing is allowed for 302s. You want to run 7 for the lowest emissions.

I just picked up a 89 hatch, currently fixing all the little problems it has no a/c, heater, passenger window not working, bad 2nd gear syncros and other little things. I did however pick up a On3 turbo kit with upgraded bov, wastegate and intercooler.

I thought it was 8-12 degrees was allowed, I just get another spout connector and modify it so it doesn’t work to get some cars to pass, just can’t drive long that way

Some guy who builds motors in his garage in SF, he provides you with flow sheets too. Only problem is I lost his number and I kinda don't remember exactly how to get to his place. Does really good work tho, he showed me a motor he was building a guy to hit 4 digits with.

Is he swapping it to that black vert? I didn't know they made convertible Darts! You definitely got some projects on your hands. What's the hardest part about the coyote swap? I'm going to do mine sometime in the future when I blow my motor.

Finishing up the DSE install on my cougar. It's going slow since I'm going to school at the moment.

Just got done doing R&D with JBA to make headers available for those who chose to stay sbf when using the suspension.

333 short block is going to a somewhat local machine shop to get some issues addressed.

was that HYFLOYDS on here? I know he had a flow bench at his house and lived in that area.

I had Ed Curtis at FTI do runner work, plenum work and port match my victor jr carb style intake. I'm over $800 into this stupid thing including the purchase of the intake!

FYI Ron Sutton racing out of Sacramento now offers a soft locker setup that is not bad at all on the street! if you already have a locker he will just sell you the springs.

My project has 4 digit horsepower potential, currently has 4.10’s with a Cobra 31 Spline Differential, I’m going to go with the newer 35 Spline Strange S-Trac for the 8.8, will drive on the street too much for a spool, unfortunately the S-Trac costs $1300.

Trying to finish up the 363 Setup, with Holley EFI, and a bunch of shit. Time is hard to come by these days.

Then I picked up a 17 in November that has been itching for some parts to get put on it as well. Currently have a Cobra Jet Manifold, longtubes, twin 67 TB, and Cold Air waiting to go on.

That black vert is spending the spring in FL. [Smile]

Yes, they made convertible Darts...but only a few thousand in the 1967-1969 variations. I'm (eventually) installing a drivetrain from a 07 Charger R/T, along with all the other good stuff (disc brakes, 9" rear, etc).

The hardest part? Trying to save money while doing it. It's extremely easy to just want to order everything, like the control pack. But at $1600, a bit of work with a wiring diagram will save big $$$$, especially if the PATS is bypassed in the ECU. If you plan it well in advance, a lot of it is simply labor.

Nah, not a show car. In fact, the outside is pretty rough. One step at a time. It's just the headers that are chrome. The valve covers are the semi-polished aluminum SVE from LMR. I needed something to clear the rockers since the stock ones weren't quite there.

Dart big bore 347, AFR 195 heads and Holley Systemax intake. Putting my little V-3 back on as well. Should be a fun drive. I hit up Modern Driveline for the TKO600 with carbon syncros and all accompanying parts.

Can't wait to get it going!

I'm not too sure. The valve covers seem to be of good quality. The only other SVE parts I've used are the firewall adjuster and quadrant combo. Both of those work just fine.

I installed a set of seat heaters and katzkin leather cover kit on my previous dd (2013 subaru forester).

I invented new curse words that day, and my finger tips were seriously messed up the whole weekend. That final stretch to get the seatback snapped into place and the zippers up...fuck Idk if I'd ever do that again.

Lmao I’d do a motor swap over a recover any fucken day! My fingers hurt for like two days trying to get everything nice and tight. When the damn rod broke thru that fucken guide to hold it down had me pissed. I had to pretend I knew how to sew and put the guides from the old covers.

Thanks Nick I’ll try at .035” I think I have too much of a gap I just don’t really know how to calculate or whatever you need to do to choose spark plus gap.

Thanks Nick I’ll try at .035” I think I have too much of a gap I just don’t really know how to calculate or whatever you need to do to choose spark plus gap.
Shoot me a text. Not sure if you still have my number. I sent it anyways through a PM

Finally got the cobra's engine back together. Now I just need to install the transmission and do some clean up but I hope to have it running next month after six years or so.

I'm doing a light restoration on this one then probably sell it:

I'm thinking about doing bolt on's and a tune on this one. Anyone else with a SHO?:

 -

Unfortunately the 66 just sits. I'm waiting for a daughter to get a little older so she can restore it with me:

Anybody got recommendations for rear coilover conversation set up?
My rear upper and lower control arm bushings are torn on my 86 coupe.
Currently have Q1A single adjustable shocks still want to use.
Have maximum Motorsports lower control arms to replace the old ones but doesn’t have the spring perch.

Don’t want to spend a fortune going to use it as my daily and hit the sac raceway to get seat time.

Send the links
Don’t know shit about spring rate so chime in
Car is stock right now with full interior.

Can't go wrong with Team Z and Strange:

I would do 12-200 for a street car.

65 fastback...hasn’t really become a “project” yet since I’m enjoying driving it around as-is but once year-down begins it’ll become a big project! Not even sure what direction to take it yet...

I just got back into a fox did a 5.0 swap on a 4cly lx hatch, was suppose to be a budget build at least that’s how it started. I ended up doing gt40 heads TFS1 cam and intake going to daily it and enjoy it!
