A coworker has a '66 fastback and is looking to upgrade his rear end. He wants to Lee the stock 8" and has decided on 3:55. What brand Trac-lok and gears would some of you recommend? Not a race care either.

Thanks.

I have the Detroit locker in my rear end, not a huge fan of it in parking lots. I would for sure go with a limited slip clutch type posi unit.

There's a guy selling refurb trac-loc 8" center sections with your choice of gears for $800 on eBay. Probably your best deal on a working 8" center. I read somewhere that something like less than 10% of cars with 8" rears came with trac-locs, so if you find a used factory one, people ask an arm and a leg.
