I bought a new set of black cloth cr1's for my new edge and was disappointed with the quality. The cloth faded quick, the reclining mechanism broke and then I had some issues with the frame of the seat. I would recommend a better quality seat or you are highly likely of running into issues.

Corbeaus are certainly hit or miss.

I personally love their fixed seats, and some of their higher end reclining seats are quality. As mentioned above, the cloth does quickly fade. The leather is definitely the way to go if you want the best of the best.

I hope this helps. I have a full line of Corbeau seats, as well as Sparco on the website. Click here: http://www.sinistermustang.com/1994-1998gt-corbeau.html

Thanks,

I recommend saving your money for a nice used set of Recaros. I know they're pricey but you will not be disappointed with the quality and the longevity. There are decent deals out there if you're patient.

I have micro suede corbeaus in the cobra. the first set's black material faded pretty quick and turns a bit purple ,second set started too also but the seats are comfortable and keep you nice and snug. they fit in my cobra perfect.

I see, so the cloth fades quickly. I was thinking of going with leather/ suede- the car is going to stay for the most part indoors. I was looking into the recaro seats but they are expensive lol. When you install those seats did you say higher than stock or stayed the same?

both sets ive had are their micro suede. both faded and changed color from black to purple.
I used the corbeau brackets. To me it sat the same, but that could all be just how I had the seat adjusted. if you usually have your sit high it will prob be different for you. me myself I had the seat all the way lowered and it sat the same with the corbeaus in as I did on my stockers with the way I positioned my seat.

Wait for the right set of real seats: Recaro, Sparco, OMP, Bride, etc. I have paid as little as $250 for a pair of Recaros that needed a little work to $750 for a perfect pair with sliders and mounts. The deals are out there.
