It's crazy how many fucktards are in this world. When I went to the super bowl on Sunday there were so many people talking straight bullshit. One group was talking about "Do you know where your kids are? CPS is going to take them away from you for not taking care of them instead you're in another state watching a football game." I'm just like well where the fuck are your kids because I don't see any with you either. I know this is irrelevant to the post but it amazes me how many idiots are around AND have people supporting them.

The government doesn't have bigger fish to fry? Why not focus on drug testing for welfare applicants?

Here's a simple solution to smog. Remove the visual and ecu checking of the smog test, and add the sniffer. If it's "clean" and within the correct numbers, you pass. Done.

That would make sense, but how would the State of California make money from companies trying to apply for an EO# for CARB. It's all bullshit.

Agreed. Seems too logical of a decision to make it reality. This is why i'm building a 67 Mustang.

On the Diesel side, ( Sinister Diesel ) We recently had our 6.0 cold air intake carb approved and it was quite the process!

FYI

There were meetings held at SEMA this year and we heard the head EPA lawyer state that any vehicle that has a VIN has never been legal to turn into a race car as at one time the vehicle had emissions equipment and it's been illegal to remove functioning emissions equipment on any vehicle in the US.
It looks like SEMA fought back and the compromise will be a new law in July based on the article. This saved all the current 'race' cars.

It is unconstitutional to make any new law retroactive, so all current race cars *should* be exempt.

This law will put a halt on modifying any vehicle manufactured after the date the law takes effect.
It's simply the first step in shutting down the entire aftermarket industry.
Make no mistake, their plan is to shut down the entire industry first going after parts manufactures, then retailers, then performance shops.

You all should be driving Chevy Volts and Teslas, charging them via the solar panels on your roof.

The government understands cubic dollars. There is too much money in the aftermarket industry to shut it down. But the government will try and control it.

Sign the petition. It may help keep things the way they are as of now.

I don't think that is true. They tax small businesses so much that many are on the verge of collapse. This will only get worse and worse, so to kill the auto after market businesses wouldn't be such a big deal to them.

They kill all kinds of industries every month. We ship jobs over seas everyday, on top of that, keep the borders practically open with cheap labor, this is what you end up with.

Damn, it's a private site where I got the download link.
I have the PDF on my desktop but don't have a way to upload to the internet.
I can email it to you if you want.
Send me an email requesting the EPA doc:

removing the vin on any car is illegal. if the chp checks your car they can take it if there is no vin doesn't matter if its in you garage or on a trailer.

Corporate management employees take extensive classes on how to talk in circles, without actually saying anything, so as to not really answer a question. But at the same time, making the inquiring person feel like their concerns are heard.
Then, when the management employee is 'backed into a corner' to then request that the two individuals discuss the matter in private, to reduce the embarrassment of the management employee.

Typical corporate/polical bullsh#t. I hope that the SEMA legislators fight this one long and hard.

Track race cars don't have Vin on them.
